SCO Homecoming/ 7th Anniversary

Last Friday was our 7th Anniversary. It was also Andrew's schools homecoming. It is our last year and we really wanted to go. This is one of our favorite events of the year! They cater bbq in from one of the local places and have blow up toys, a balloon artist, dinner, free beer (a big thing for 90% of the students), a rock wall, and miniature golf. We figured it would be a fun way to celebrate! We had planned on going and getting dessert after! We got their right on time and got a table. This is our fourth homecoming here and they finally seem to be getting it right, they had twice as many tables set up as other years and four lines of food instead of two. Waiting for food was no longer an issue and everyone got a table! We enjoyed our food and noticed the balloon guy setting up and not wanting to wait forever again like last year we told Ella if she finished eating we could get a balloon. She quickly finished eating and we went over and only had to wait for one person in front of us! Poor Easton on our way started not feeling very hot. He was coughing a little so we left him in the stroller.

Eating dinner! Easton didn't eat anything which is unusual but he wasn't himself. Ella loved her hot dog! We love the bbq here so the food was good, it isn't our favorite place to get it but it is still good! We enjoyed pulled pork sandwiches topped with coleslaw (a Memphis thing, I tried it for the first time a couple months ago I was skeptical but it is amazing!), baked beans, mac and cheese, cookies, and brownies! It was nice to have a night off from cooking dinner!

Poor kid he was not well!

Getting our balloon! Ella decided on a ballerina with a pink tutu and this guy is so cute he put red hair on it and blue eyes! This guy is really good at what he does, he told us he has been doing it for over 40 years!

He made East a tree with bananas and a blue monkey in it. He could have cared less, he liked it better the next day when he felt better.

Poor East we were torturing him taking pictures!

We played a little miniature golf until the people behind us cut in front of us so we called it quits after about 9 holes. I got a couple holes in one!

We had to have a rematch of this from last year, sadly what worked for me last year in winning didn't this year but it was still pretty fun to do and I'm sure funny to watch!

Thanks to Lauren who followed me around all night at took all my pictures!

About 20 min after this it suddenly got dark out and they started picking up because it was starting to thunder and lightening. We decided to leave just as Easton started to throw up all over me and my new shirt! His breathing then became really bad and he could hardly get a breathe out so we headed to the ER and by the time we got there it was pouring! I will write more about the ER in my next post! It was a fun night I am sad Easton didn't enjoy it, he would have loved it!

Lauren is a good picture taker :) that is good they finally got it right. Did the beer truck show up on time this year too?? That was one of our favorite school activities too. We also converted to the coleslaw on BBQ sandwich. It is our favorite.
