Kids

This is what happens when I forget Andrew takes pictures on his phone as well! He had some really cute ones of the kids. I have no idea he takes half of them and I'm usually with him when he does, but I tend to wander off by myself if we are at the store together and he slowly follows!

Random

These are some random pictures off my phone, some are from July and some are from the last few weeks.

Spending the day at my Grandma's house playing in the water and then the kids helped her pick fresh cucumbers, carrots, and cherry tomatoes from the garden and helping her wash them off! They made such a good lunch!
We met up with my sister and her husband for dinner one Saturday night at the Black Bear diner. We waited a bit for them but luckily there was a guy walking around making balloons for the kids! Ella was so excited for hers! We had to hid it a week later so we could throw it away!
Ella's sunbeam class has been secretly preparing a song to sing in the program and last week they got up to practice it in front of the primary! It was so cute!
We have enjoyed having Andrew home a little bit more this summer then he has been in 4 years! We went one day on a picnic at a park before he had to go to work! It was such nice day and just what I needed to get out of the house!
The play land at the grocery store is my most favorite thing ever! The kids go in really well and they are usually all alone to enjoy it! It makes my one hour alone grocery shopping so divine! It makes driving to the store that isn't as close as others worth it!

Break in

Back in July while at the cabin we got some sad news that my Grandpa Duzett's sister's husband had tragically died. The week after was the funeral. My parents were out of town and asked that my sister and I attend the funeral to show our support from our family. We went to the viewing the night before and then attempted the funeral with 3 kids in tow. Andrew decided to come but we drove separate so he could leave and go to work right after. He came but was about 30 minutes late. After it was over we went out to our cars and my sister and I decided to meet at chick fil a for some lunch. I was about to back out when Andrew came walking over from his truck. He had parked in the shade because he doesn't have any air conditioning in his truck so he tries to find shade. Well his window had been broken and they had taken his laptop bag. Well the joke was on the idiot that took it, it didn't have any electronics in it. It had mostly paperwork, an optometry book, and a Gonioscopy lenses. Luckily he had taken his retina scope out and laptop. He thinks his social security number may have been on one of the papers but he isn't sure. He had just opened a business checking account the day before for his business and it had a temporary checks in it. He was able to call and close the account through our friend who had opened it, although it hardly had anything in it! We also had to go and put special passwords on our checking account because he had a receipt from a deposit that week in his bag. He is still mad at himself but it is all stuff that can be replaced and the bag had been given to him at a conference a few weeks before and he loved that bag but he has been told he can get a new one from the people who gave it to him to begin with. He is slowly remembering things that were in his bag. He just realized last night his list of all the doctors in Utah he had talked to and their statuses on hiring was in there which is a bummer. He feels pretty bad about the whole thing. It is just really sad that someone feels that they can take advantage of people while they are at a funeral of all places! It is so sad! He was able to get his window replaced the next day for a pretty penny! I don't know why someone would target an old car like his truck and think they would get much of anything! He was only in the church for a total of maybe 30 minutes and there were people coming in and out the whole time so it's amazing to me that no one saw anything!

Fun week

This was over a month ago. We had quite the fun week, I don't remember a whole lot but I know we were busy and had a lot of fun! On Tuesday night we went with some friends in our ward to see a movie. There is a dollar theater 5 minutes from our house that is really nice (compared to most others). We went and saw the Croods. It was the first movie for both kids. We were a little worried but a couple drinks and a big bucket of popcorn and some candy that we brought they were awesome! They loved the movie and sat through most of it, they got a little wiggly toward the end. They now ask daily when we can go see another show!
The night after the movie Andrew had a dinner to attend. He went to dinner at Tuscany with a few other doctors put on by one of the reps I think Vistakon, a contact lens distributor. I was not really feeling up to staying home so we went and each got a cheeseburger and then did some quick shopping for some things we needed. On the way home I saw Menchies and decided to get one more treat! They were so excited to get a treat and lucky me it was free waffle bowl day! It was a fun night and good to get out of the house! Easton was excited because they had a blue flavor since the new smurfs movie was coming out so everyone was happy to get what they wanted!

Cabin

The second week of July we headed up to Kamas to the cabin we go to every year. We really enjoy it each year and it is nice to get away for a few days. We went up on Monday and stayed until Saturday The week went by so fast! We enjoyed eating, relaxing, watching movies, playing lots of games, and eating some more! The kids enjoyed playing and did really good to take naps most of the days! We had mostly women up there for most of the time, the guys would come up after work some days but we managed just fine! My awesome Grandma even set up a mouse trap all by herself and managed to get it the first night. Luckily the mouse was not inside the cabin but it was just inside the door to the storage room of the house! Ella keeps asking when we are going back she loved it so much!

We went on a nice walk up the dirt road and the kids loved grabbing rocks!
They had way to many treats this week!

They loved swinging and going down the slide everyday!

Easton does really well just playing by himself and loves all his cars! He can play like this for hours!

The guys all enjoyed some horseshoes together when they came up!
My sister brought her water table and it was a nice distraction one afternoon the girls sat and ate a bag of Milky Way bites (seriously so good!)!

The little boys love my cousin Will and fight over who gets to sit on his lap!
There is a little area upstairs they enclosed that used to be open and it still has windows, one night I went up and Easton's feet were right up against the window!
While we were packing the cars to go home my Grandma showed the kids how to skip rocks in the river. Luckily she didn't show them earlier in the week so they left the river alone!

Swimming in Kamas

A few times while we were at the cabin we went into town and swam at their pool. The first time I didn't have my suit so everyone helped watch my kids and they had so much fun! There was hardly anybody at the pool and it was nice to be able to keep an eye on my kids. The second time we went my cousin had brought my suit up with her and so I decided to swim. Well the YMCA had a summer camp there that day and it was crazy. There were kids everywhere and they were all really rude and I had a really hard time with all of them there. We didn't stay to long the second time but still enjoyed it!

Easton has a love connection with pools/water. He acts like he is just in love when he is in the water he enjoys it so much, which is great but scares me at the same time!

Fourth of July

We had a great 4th of July this year. Andrew's family was all up in Montana and we were sad we couldn't go but with only two weeks of work under his belt there was no way to ask for time off :). We had a really great day despite the heat! We started off with our ward breakfast and bike parade. It was nice to not have to make breakfast and the food was really good!
After we went and bought some fireworks and went and to the grocery store to get our food assignments for later. We went home and the kids napped and then we went to my Aunt and Uncles house. We had a Blackburn family reunion which is my Grandma's family so all of her siblings and families. It was a lot of fun and good to catch up with them. We usually get together twice a year and we have missed the last few get togethers. We enjoyed eating and the kids had a lot of fun playing.

Ella and Hannah! We are glad they have each other with all the boys around. They really wish Jocelyn lived closer, some day we hope!
My Aunt and cousins set up a lot of fun things for the kids to do, here they are doing a three legged race.
The boys playing games.
They put together this fun craft with paints and sponges where the kids made a picture of the flag. My kids really loved this and we came home with quite a few pictures!

They played a fun pass the wet sponge game, painted fingernails, my grandma and her sister played a fun game with the girls, and they had a fun parade for the kids with flags!

I just love this picture!
My cousins from the Gray family and my sisters (minus Sarah and Celyn).
These three are six weeks apart about and each have turned 16 this summer! Joseph was visiting his mom for the month from Atlanta!
We had some homemade ice cream and lots of cookies and brownies later in the day and then we eventually went to the school behind their house and did some parachutes and snaps. The kids loved those! When it got a little more dark we did some fireworks and Ella determined she hates little ones they are to scary but those big fireworks shows she loves! Go figure!
