Wheeler farm

We have had a lot of time with Andrew since he finished school. He is working now but we had a lot of days to kill time! One day we went and got sandwiches at Sprouts and then went and had a picnic at Wheeler farm! It was a nice day but there was quite a few school kids there. It was still fun and the kids enjoyed seeing the animals!

Grandma's House

A few Fridays ago we had a work party again at my Grandma's house. She was getting a new roof the next day. She has a flat roof and it had rocks on it so all the guys came together and helped get them off and clean it and get it ready. We fed them taco salad when they were done and the next day we went to help my Grandma some more with her house. The kids really wanted to run through the sprinklers or "sprinkles" as Ella calls them. We weren't able to so we promised the next week we would. Well the next week we went to help her clean her pantry out. She has a huge pantry and was having a problem with pantry moths. We washed everything and got rid of a lot of food in there! We enjoyed a lunch together at Granato's across the street and then worked for a few more hours. The kids took a rest and once they got up we had them play in the sprinklers! They were in heaven! We finished the night off at IceBerg Drive In for dinner. It would have been my Grandpa's 85th birthday that day so we figured it was a good way to honor him and to spend his day with my Grandma! Somehow the pictures got mixed up between days and I don't care!

Running through the sprinklers!
The kids had fun making a train with the lawn chairs! Easton was in heaven because of it all!
My grandma was wanting the guys to cut a big branch off her tree in the front but it was worrying her. Her neighborhood had dumpsters for the day and she wanted it done. A guy was going around asking if anyone needed anything done and she told him about the tree. He had it down and cleaned up in 20 minutes and only charged $20! It was perfect he knew what to do and had the right equipment, it was a huge blessing!

Pizza night

A few weeks ago we had a fun night making pizza together! We all love homemade Pizza and the kids love to help! We had our family night lesson while it baked! It tasted so good and we enjoyed a movie together as we ate it!

Work party

The first day of June was my Dad's birthday. My sisters and I decided for his birthday to make him breakfast and then help him and my mom put their garden in. It is hard to have such a big garden anymore and keep it up now that they only have one child left at home. We helped get all the weeds out and the guys went and got some compost and my dad tilled it in. We then helped put all the plants in and the guys put the cages over the tomatoes and the little kids got to help plant the corn! It was a perfect day and the kids played nicely together while we got it done. Now about 3 weeks later it is really looking good and everything is growing, even more weeds!
My sister got a new water table for her little boy and so they got that out and the kids had a blast with it while we worked! They also enjoyed Jack's new truck as well!
Katy got rollerblades the day before for her birthday and the kids loved being rolled around the house in them!

Reception

The last Friday in May we had a chance to go up to Ogden to a Retirement party for the doctor who was retiring from where Andrew is now working. Andrew had only met him once but we felt it was important to be there and meet some of the patients he has seen over the years. We took our kids and really probably shouldn't have. They were a little crazy and the place wasn't very big. I was able to meet the other doctor and his wife as well as the staff. It was good to meet them. They had the most awesome and yummy food. They had fruit bowl, vegetable tray, salmon, meatballs, cheese and crackers, about 6 different types of salads, the best rolls I have ever tasted (they were slathered in butter), and meats and cheeses to put on the rolls. The food was amazing! We were glad they had food we were starving! It was a great night and Andrew is really enjoying where he is at and loves the people he works with!

This was outside the reception, this is as close to a dog as Ella will get because it isn't alive other wise she would be screaming! I wish I would have taken a few more pictures inside especially of the food but I didn't want to look dumb!

Half Birthday Party

To some people (probably most) this probably sounds so dumb but we decided to throw our kids a half birthday! It is hard that they both have birthdays so close to Christmas so they only get new things once a year. We decided since their half birthdays are two weeks apart we will try and throw them a little something each year. It is the beginning of the summer and a good time to get something new, maybe summer toys! We keep it really small and gave them each one little gift. It was things I already had in my closet that I was saving for a special time. They both were really excited and we enjoyed some cupcakes together as well!

Easton got a car race track and Ella got Ariel's carriage thing! They both were so excited and it was fun to see the joy on their faces!

Memorial Day

We had a really enjoyable Memorial Day. We first got up late, our kids never sleep as long as they did and we were a few minutes late for breakfast. We went to Andrew's mom's house for breakfast. We had pancakes, sausage, eggs, donuts, fruit, and juice! It was really good! I made my buttermilk syrup! We were able to sit and visit for a few hours and the kids enjoyed playing with their cousins. We then went and bought a watermelon and cut it up and then headed to my Uncle and Aunts house for a BBQ. We had hamburgers and hot dogs and lots of other stuff, it was so good and the perfect kickoff to summer, all the smells and tastes! We finished the night with homemade burnt almond fudge ice cream! The kids played outside for hours and some of the older kids and our husbands went across the street to the church and played volleyball!

I straightened Ella's hair for the first time, I was curious to see what it would look like. It was really cute! It made her look a lot older. She asks me on a daily basis if I will straighten it for her, she loved having her hair like mine she says but I have only done it one other time.

She likes to be in charge of the camera these days!
My kids loved playing with Olivia and Will. My kids love these two! Easton admires Will so much and lights up the moment he sees him!

Jack discovered the drinking fountain luckily towards the end of the night because it was all he could think about and play with!
The kids love getting in the tractor and love being pushed down the hill! Their faces are always priceless when they are flying down the hill!
The day before Memorial Day we went to the cemetery to visit graves. My Grandpa and Grandma Pond and Grandpa Duzett are luckily buried in the same place so it is nice to have one stop. It was such a perfect night and we enjoyed being there!
