Nutcracker tea

The first Saturday in December we headed to the Library for a fun activity. They put on a Nutcracker Tea. Thanks to my cousin Andrea for inviting us. The kids had a lot of fun! It was really snowy that morning but we managed to get there! They first had three crafts for the kids to do. First they made Nutcrackers out of a picture they colored rolled around a toilet paper roll. The second one they did was making mouse Candy Canes. The third was making 3-D snowflakes. I worked on the snowflake during the last activity. After the crafts they gave each of the kids a little snack. They had bags of popcorn, hot chocolate, and cupcakes. After the snacks they had the kids come up and they had someone there to teach a little dance to go with the nutcracker song. Ella loved this! Easton kept running back to where I was sitting but he eventually stayed with Ella and danced. He did get told once to get out of the curtains, oops! I was to far to tell him to get out! It sure was a fun activity and Ella already told me she can't wait to go again!

Sweet Boy

This was the week that Easton was so sick. He had really good naps! He loves to sleep on my bed. I loved how he had his hands. We sure love this little guy!

Crazy 2 year olds!

This was the weekend after Thanksgiving when we went downtown to dinner and to see the lights. There was a 2 week time period where all three of these boys would be two at the same time. We kept forgetting to take a picture of the three of them and the next day was Easton's birthday so we did it while we were at Trolley Square. All I had was my phone so they aren't the greatest pictures but it is still fun to document the two weeks they were all 2!

Temple

The first week of December we had the privilege to go to the Oquirrh Mountain temple. Andrew's sister Becky's husband Daniel took out his Endowments and then after they were sealed. It was so fun to be there with them and share in their special day. It was their 2 year wedding anniversary and so that is why they chose that day. After words we all went to Schmidt's Pastry Cottage for lunch, which is where their wedding luncheon was! It was a blizzard all day but we still made it and were able to enjoy ourselves. Thanks to my sister who had our kids all day!

Easton's Birthday Part 2

A few days after Easton's birthday we were able to celebrate with Andrew's family. Easton was so excited! He was so confused as to why Ella got two parties and not him. He really wanted his Grandma and aunts to come celebrate (bring him gifts really!) They came over and I had made a couple different kinds of soups, bread sticks, and some fruit for dinner. It was perfect for how cold it was outside! After we ate Easton opened his presents and was so excited for everything he got, they definitely know how to spoil this kid! After we had brownies with peppermint ice cream and fudge. We were kind of sick of birthday cake so I thought this would be a good option, plus we could cut off a piece for Easton to blow a candle out of. He needed his own piece because he was sick and we didn't want him blowing on the whole pan of brownies. He had croup that whole week and so he really wasn't himself but was still excited to celebrate!

A cars pillow pet! We promptly hid it so he wouldn't slim it with his sick little nose!

Easton's Birthday Part 1

Easton's Birthday was the 1st of December, which fell on a Sunday this year. He was so excited for his birthday he had patiently waited through everyone Else's and was so happy it was finally his turn. He woke up and had streamers on his door and balloons all over his room as well. I had heard him say he wanted his birthday to be like Ella's with the stuff on the door and balloons. He opened some new church clothes and we had Cream of Wheat for breakfast with some fruit and milk. His three favorite things to eat!

After church we went to my mom's house and had dinner. We had leftover Thanksgiving dinner and he didn't seem to mind. After dinner we had cake and opened presents. He was so excited for a planes cake, although he kept asking when his cars cake was coming.

He got some fun new trucks and toys to play with! It was such a great day and can't believe our little boy is 3!

FotoFly Santa

The day before Thanksgiving we headed down to Thanksgiving Point to do some fun pictures! We had had the idea a few months ago to do this since we knew that the other 3 kids would be in town! The idea with FotoFly Santa is you get a 10 minute session, bring someone to be Santa, take pictures, and within 30 minutes they are edited and ready to be viewed. We convinced my Dad to be Santa for us since we were going to have all the Grand kids. He was a trooper :). The kids did pretty good, meaning nobody cried! We may not have gotten smiles from all of them and it may have taken about 50 shots to get one good one of everyone looking and holding still but in the end we were so happy with the results! These pictures seem so priceless to me! The kids all thought it was so silly that Papa was Santa! I think we may have started a new tradition for each year!

All the kids with Papa! We got these awesome sweaters way back last March in St. George. They were about 3 or 4 dollars each and we just bought them having no clue they would be perfect down the road for this!
