Krispy Kreme

A couple weeks ago Andrew needed to go and talk to a Doctor in Orem. We decided to tag along and so we did! After he was done we were going to head home for dinner but first we passed Krispy Kreme's and they had there hot light on. We thought it would be fun to take the kids in and show them how the donuts are made. They were fascinated with the whole process and especially loved watching them get drizzled with frosting! Once they had some hot ones ready we got in line and each got one for free! They were so good we just had to take another home for later! They have asked everyday since to go back and get more and see it all again, if it didn't take 30 minutes to get there I would, maybe someday again!

Playing

A few weeks ago we had a family night with my family. My mom wanted to talk about Gratitude and what we can be thankful for. We also had dinner together. Well we got there and no one was home yet and my key is missing so Andrew ran around the yard and played with the kids for a little bit! They loved every little second of it! He chased them, they chased him, they played in the leaves and I loved just watching them laugh!

Trick or Treating

After our trunk or treat we went to my mom's house where she had made us some yummy dinner. Our families tradition has always been to have homemade Mac and Cheese on Halloween! After that we were able to go around their neighborhood with Jack and Trick or Treat. It was perfect we went to about 20 houses which was enough! If people held their bowl out and said to take one Easton usually grabbed a handful, he didn't quite get the just take one when there is 100 in there idea! Therefore Easton ended up with almost double the candy than Ella did! It was a fun night and it wasn't to cold! I usually am more on the ball and love Halloween but this year I just didn't have it in me. Luckily Easton's costume was a $4 after Halloween special last year and Ella's was an old dance costume of my little sisters! It worked out great and didn't require any money or time on my part!

Trunk or Treat

Halloween night our ward had a quick one hour trunk or treat! It really works great in our ward we have a lot of condos and townhomes and our ward is pretty spread out so it made it easy to have everyone in one place! The kids loved walking around and getting treats. It was a little different from our trunk or treats in the South (we especially missed the hayride this year!) but we still enjoyed it!

The best part was Andrew was able to reschedule his patients the last hour so he could come and join us!
Ella's friend Stella even came and she was so excited! They have moved from our ward and we miss them! These girls just sat in the back of their car giggling and having fun for the longest time!

Carving Pumpkins

After we finished at the pumpkin patch we ran some errands and then headed to my grandma's house. The kids played in the yard for hours and the men helped her with getting her yard ready for winter. We enjoyed just relaxing and it was really nice.  My sister and I ran and got some pizzas and we had some dinner. After dinner we got our pumpkins ready and cleaned them and carved them. The kids thought that this was so awesome! Ella and Easton both picked what shapes they wanted and we happily obliged! At first they wanted to do one of our patterns but they eventually changed their minds and we did some simple stuff! It was a really fun night and we really enjoyed it!

Pumpkin Patch

The Saturday before Halloween we finally made it to the Pumpkin Patch. We picked a perfect day! It was really nice. We decided to get there at 9 right when they opened to avoid the rush and we are so glad we did. There was about 2 other families there with us and by the time we left there was about 20 families! The kids loved picking out a little pumpkin and Andrew and I picked one for the two of us to carve!

Easton loved all of the farm equipment everywhere!

We also got to enjoy a Hay Ride. Once they got the tractor on and then fixed the flat tire that is! Since we were the first ride of the day they went around twice for us. The kids loved it!
