Easton

Easton has changed so much this summer. We all keep commenting that when we came in May he was still a baby and now we have a little boy on our hands! He is all boy and loves cars, trains, milk, food in general especially fruit! He loves buzz light year. He loves Ella to pieces and can't wait to see her after naps and in the morning. His foot grew so much this summer he went from wearing a size 4 to size 7. I can't keep him in shoes that fit! He is our little sweetheart and loves to give hugs and kisses. When we leave he waves and says bye bye and blows kisses better than any 21 month old I've seen! We love our "little" boy!/div>

Potty

Ella and I have tried a few times to do the whole potty training thing. She is very stubborn and hasn't not liked it at all. She loves the concept but not the actual doing it! I know she hasn't had the most normal last four months and so we stopped pushing it and are going to wait until we get settled again this fall in Mississippi and have a better routine. I hope and pray she catches on quick once we get settled! Easton on the other hand hates his diaper and is showing lots of signs of being ready. Anytime his diaper is wet or stinky he pulls on it to get it off. He loves to sit on the potty and I believe will be easy to train. I figure this fall we may as well kill two birds with one stone! Plus think of the money we will save every month in our budget without having to buy diapers! I hope we can accomplish this lofty goal!
We bought him some underwear and he loves them! He brings them to me each morning and gets upset when I put a diaper on him! He got really mad this day when I took them off! Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up trained first!

Shopping

Last weekend Andrew and I each had some secret shops to do up at the outlets and I had some stuff to return. So when he got done with work we headed up to Park City! We went and did everything we needed to and on our way back to the car the kids spotted all the riding toys. They remembered the merry go round one and so we stuck a quarter in and let them ride! They loved it again and wanted to ride each of the toys but luckily we just talked them into pretending to ride them! Sometimes spending a quarter to get big smiles on your kids faces is so worth it, they had after all just put up with numerous shops and getting carted everywhere, they deserved it!

Wedding Dinner

My Cousin Heidi got married in the Atlanta Temple on August 3rd. Since none of us were able to go back there her family had a wedding dinner for them here on the 15th. It was fun to meet his family and get to know him. It turned out to be a nice night and not hot! We had a yummy dinner and enjoyed mingling and the kids enjoyed playing!
The bride and groom!
Attempting a family picture and it not working!

Easton is busy! He never stops moving so any get together outside where he can run free is our favorite!

Birthday Dinner

Since I spent my birthday at my families we still had to get together with Andrew's family. So on the Tuesday after my birthday we went to dinner. We went to one of our favorite places in Salt Lake, Cowboy Grub! Andrew and I are the only ones that had been there! The food was so delicious! It was nice to all get out together and enjoy dinner! Thanks for helping me celebrate my birthday!
Pictures taken on my phone so they aren't the greatest! And Andrew's sister and I are matching, funny thing is we didn't even buy the shirts together!

Birthday Weekend - Sunday

Sunday was my actual birthday! It was such a great day! I didn't have to do a single thing! Andrew took care of the kids and did everything for them! He got up with them in the morning while I continued to sleep. I got up and he had made breakfast! He had presents wrapped and balloons blown up! Andrew and the kids got me a new dress, a cookbook, and a pedicure or massage! I think I am going to do the massage when I get back to Mississippi! We then went to church and just did Sacrament Meeting so the kids could get naps!

After naps we went to my Aunt and Uncles house. My cousin Ben was being ordained an Elder so we were able to be there for that! Afterwards we had a really yummy dinner! Then we had cake. My mom had called me the day before asking what kind of cake I wanted. I didn't really put much thought into it and said chocolate. I saw her later that day and told her I had changed my mind. I forgot I had wanted another cake last year and so I told her but told her I would be fine with chocolate. Well she showed up with chocolate cupcakes and a white cake with raspberry filling with raspberries from her patch! She made some yummy frosting and put a little bit of raspberry extract into it! It was so much and I was happy with it! Thanks Mom!

 My little helpers!

 We sure love little Jack!
I opened my presents from my family. I had told my mom a couple months ago what I wanted was a big pot. I have a huge 8 quart one but it is to big sometimes so I wanted something a little smaller but big enough for some soups! I had totally forgot I had told her and was pleasantly surprised! I got some earrings from my older sisters, and I got a little cutting board and Belgium waffle maker from my little sister Katy. I had gone through Katy's take back pile from her wedding gifts and picked out what I wanted! I got a dress and cute wall hanging from Andrew's sisters! I also got some cash and gift cards from some of my family and Andrews family! Thank you everybody for making it one of my most favorite birthdays!
I got these flowers by default for my birthday! Andrew and I do secret shopping and this was one of his shops to get flowers delivered to our house!

Birthday weekend- Saturday

A couple weekends ago was my birthday! I was excited for it to be on a weekend so that we could spend it together as a family! Earlier in the week I worked for someone and they were kind enough to take my Saturday morning shift which meant I had the whole weekend off! We started the weekend off on Saturday by going to Kneaders for Breakfast! It was so yummy! I had only been there a couple times and that was for lunch. We got all you can eat pancakes and french toast. It was to die for! They have the best syrup and their french toast is divine! It was super busy but still fun to go out to breakfast, we never do that! I am also not a fan of pajamas outside of the house but didn't seem to care this day, it didn't matter because we were spending time as a family!
Later that night we went out on a date! Andrew and I went to Ruby River and had a really yummy steak! It was nice to sit and enjoy our meal without the kids and talk. After we ate we went and played some miniature golf. It had been two years since we had done that and it was a lot of fun. The course was really busy and so we ended up waiting at almost every hole for the people to get finished but that was fine it gave us more time to talk! After miniature golf Andrew wanted to go get a treat so we ended up at Cheesecake Factory and each got a slice of Cheesecake. We probably could have shared but we each wanted something different and that way we got to try two! I got a Banana Cream cheesecake and it had a whole fresh banana sliced on top, it was amazing! Andrew got White Chocolate Raspberry which is our favorite! We enjoyed sitting in their outside dining and slowly eating it and talking. We haven't had so much uninterrupted talking time in a long time so we apparently had a lot to say! Thanks to Andrews mom for watching our kids for us and putting them to bed, Easton cried for a whole hour before she finally got him to sleep, poor kid is confused and has never cried that much when going to bed! It was such a fun night I wish we could afford to do it more often!
This is while we were mini golfing!

Girls Night

Every time I come to town me and these three girls all try to get together. We all used to be roommates and we went to high school together. Bobbi I've known since I was born pretty much, Michelle since we were Sophomores, and Marissa I met sometime in Elementary school so we all go way back! I love these girls so much and they are such great friends to have! We have tried all summer to get together and last week we finally were able to! Usually we go to Zupas. We have gone there like the last four times! This time we decided to switch things up and went to a yummy place called Toscanos. We each ordered different pizzas so we could each try one another. I got a Hawaiian and it was so good. I haven't been a huge fan of Hawaiian until recently. We sat there and talked for a long time and enjoyed catching up! Our server was a bit odd and I asked him to take our picture so he stands on his tippie-toes and holds my phone as high as he can to get a picture and then compliments himself on how good of a job he did. It isn't a good picture at all but I've never met a server that takes a good picture really! I went to the bathroom and came back and someone had paid for my food, so thank you girls for a great birthday dinner!
Clockwise it is Me, Michelle, Marissa, and Bobbi
After this we went to a Menchies and sat outside and talked until it was almost 11. It was such a nice night and I have missed seeing these girls! Bobbi lived in San Diego for 3 years and moved home a whole two months before we moved to Memphis so it has been almost 7 years since we lived in the same state! I loved catching up and can't wait to do it again maybe next year sometime!

Cabin

Every year we go up to Kamas and stay in a Cabin. My Grandpa put a lot work into this Cabin that is a friends of my Grandparents. He would fix something or remodel something for them a lot every year and they would always let us come stay. We have been going for many years and it is such a nice reprieve and getaway! Well since my Grandpa passed away earlier this year we thought our cabin days were over. We also thought it would be to hard on us and especially my Grandma to go up there. Well my Grandma got a call about a month ago from her friends wondering if we wanted it for a few days. It turned out they had it available during the week and it worked out for me since I work Friday and Saturdays! We went up on Tuesday afternoon after I worked and stayed until Thursday afternoon. Everyone else stayed one more day! It was so relaxing and just what we needed. Andrew came up and stayed for one night but had a huge paper to do so couldn't come up the second night. The kids loved playing and it was stressful to keep them away from the creek but they did great with it!
We drove into town to get some groceries and the kids saw this, now I am not a huge fan of these but they were curious and it was only a quarter so I put one in and this thing went for a good 4 minutes! They loved it!
They have a few swings set up and the kids spent half the day swinging!
We spent a lot of time coloring!
They asked us to water for them while we were up there and Easton found it a perfect opportunity to run through the sprinklers! I didn't mind he had an extra outfit so I let him have fun and fun he had! He was laughing at himself it was so cute!
My mom brought my little sister Sarah and Cousin Ali with her and it was awesome! I told her thank you many times for bringing some nannies with her! They took care of my kids half the time and played with them! Ella now loves Ali and won't leave her alone ever!
She has also come a long way this summer from not wanting to get in a baby swing or any swing at all to a full on regular swing! It makes me sad she has turned from a toddler to a little girl over night!
Easton has been having issues going to sleep this last month. I can't blame him he sleeps in 2 or 3 different beds/houses a week and it has messed him up royally, that and he is actually getting to big for the crib and prefers to sleep in a bed! Well getting him to nap at the Cabin was a chore! He cried for a good hour so I went and got him and my Grandma took him and laid him on her lap on the swing outside and he was out in no time at all! He stayed asleep for about an hour and a half! The nice creek rushing by put him out!
I love his eyelashes so I had to get an up close one while he was sleeping!
