For fall break this year we headed to Arizona! My niece Jocelyn was being baptized so my whole family was heading down! Andrew couldn't come because he had just had a week off and without vacation pay we can't afford to take half the month off! We left after school on Wednesday and drove to Vegas. We stopped in St George for a picnic where Addie pooped her pants twice! I threw the first pair in the garbage and my mom was nice enough to clean out the next ones! I was done!
I shared a room with my parents and Addie and Easton. Ella slept in the room with my Grandma. Easton woke us all up bright and early at 6:15 throwing up! Luckily he made it to the bathroom! He was fine the rest of the day! I don't know if it was a little car sickness or what! So we got going pretty early and drove to the Hoover Dam! Some hadn't seen it! It is truly amazing! The bridge they built to drive over is incredible!
We stopped in Gilbert for lunch and so I could see my friend Cara and her newborn twins! We ate at Joe's BBQ which is a must when we go there! It is so good! I took a picture and sent it to Andrew, I'm so mean!
My parents dropped me off at Cara's and everyone went over to Deseret Book to get some gifts for the baptism girl! It was nice to sit and chat with Cara for an hour! I miss her and it is always fun to catch up! I see her more than friends that live in the same state as me!!
We finally made it to their house and Celyn had a yummy dinner for us! We ate and then headed to our hotel! It was late and we were tired! We slept in the next morning and then headed back to their house where the kids spent all day playing! We had a yummy lunch of BLT's and then put the 2 year olds down for nap.
Later after naps we headed to their community pool and let the kids swim! We then headed back to have a little birthday party for Jocey. We had pizza and then presents!
The next morning we got up bright and early to head to their church. It was about 45 minutes away! Jocey was baptized with two other kids and Celyn had put together such cute things for these kids! It was so fun to see her be baptized! She is my parents first grand child to be baptized and Ella is next! It is great to have Jocey be such great example for these kids!
Ella is a different child when Jocey is around! She is happier! It is hard to have her so far away!
We went to a local Mexican place after for lunch. It is a must when we were only 20 minutes from the border! They had a mariachi band and all! It was good food but the service was iffy! It was fun to be all together!
He started singing Elvis songs and I mentioned that Ella and East were both born in Memphis and he got excited and sang a few more!
The next day we went to their ward and Jocelyn was confirmed! After my brother Jared drove us around Nogalas and showed us where he worked. He works on the border and does import and exports. He showed us where you go through to Mexico. It is crazy to see and extremely humbling!

This family all had their hands on the fence touching a man's hand on the other side, I assume it was their husband/father. So sad!
My brother has to go over the border sometimes for work and someone picks him up on the other side he said this is the gate he goes through!
The wall goes right up a mountain! It is crazy! You really can see the division though between the US and Mexico. What is on the Mexico side is so sad!
There are two border crossing into Mexico in Nogalas. This is the other one.

We left later that afternoon so we could get to Vegas that night. We didn't get far before there was a horrible accident and they were putting someone on life flight. We got through that quick and went another 15 miles to be stopped again. We could see a ton of smoke ahead. We were just stuck there for almost an hour and our low fuel light was on! We finally got going again and drove past what was left of a burned up RV!
