Beach and Disney Friday

Friday was our beach day. We looked at the weather multiple times a day the beginning of the week because it kept changing. We decided Friday would be the best day. My cousin Brent and his wife Emily live near LA and drove down to our house to meet us for the day. We left about 11 for Newport. It still wasn't very warm but was warm enough to play in the sand. A few people were brave and got in I put my feet in once and that was enough it was freezing! We played for a few hours and then headed for a late lunch at crab cooker! Andrew took the kids next door for pizza since he isn't really a fan of seafood! I had some yummy salmon. After we were going to go over to Balboa Island but we had 5 cars in our caravan and decided against that and walked back to by the beach to get a balboa bar or frozen banana. After we went back to the house and changed the kids and headed over to Disneyland. We had 5 day passes thanks to the 5th day being free when we bought our tickets and so we needed to use it! We went in and did the Buzz Astro Blasters ride (the favorite of the trip) and then went and sat down and watched the fireworks show. We then braved the crowd and headed to watch Fantasmic. We got some good seats and the kids enjoyed that show. After we went on another ride and then headed home. It takes quite a bit of time to get back to where parking is. We had decided we didn't want to pay to park for a full day when we were only going to be there for a few hours so we did hourly parking since the first three hours are free, well we went to leave and they let all of us out for free, it helped the sting of how much we paid that week to park not so bad!

This kid could live at the beach he loves it all!
