Last Friday we went with some friends to a high school football game. The people here take this type of thing very seriously. I have never in my life seen so many people at a high school game. It was next to impossible to get a parking spot. We went to an Olive Branch vs Desoto Central game. Olive Branch is #2 in the state and it was their homecoming game. We got there a few minutes into the game and it was already like 28 to 0. We had fun watching the kids play on the bleachers, talking, watching the game, and enjoying the beautiful weather! At half time they announced the homecoming court. The dresses these days are really fancy! Desoto Central finally scored in the last ten minutes of the game three times so the final score was something like 62 to 21. Olive Branch had put in their JV team so they were able to score and make it look not so painful!
We got a kick out of the scoreboard. Instead of "Home" and "Away" it says "Us" and "Y'all"! Awesome, only in the south! This was the halftime score!
She has learned to not smile, just stare!
These two love each other!
