I thought I had these switched the right way but I guess I didn't. They are also out of order!

Valentines Date

The Saturday before Valentines we were able to go out. We did a babysitting swap with our friends the Lants. They watched our kids this night and we headed to downtown Memphis for dinner. We went to a BBQ place we hadn't been yet but it well known on some of the food shows. We went to Rendezvous. We have a "bucket list" of things we want to see/do/eat at before we move from here and this was one of them. To get to it we had to walk down an alley and then into a basement. It isn't the nicest place but it is really old and famous so they leave it the way it is.
We parked in a garage just across the street from it and could see their sign from our car
We shared some pork bbq nachos and a rack of ribs. There food was really good. It had a different flavor then the other bbq places we have been here but still good. There menu wasn't as extensive as other places and it was a little more pricey for the amount of food you get. There baked beans were probably my favorite of all the places. I have come a long way from when we moved here I didn't like beans at all but I have come to like them. It was nice to sit and talk and eat our food and not get interrupted :) It was a good night out and was nice to celebrate Valentines together!

Making Valentines

Last Weekend we made some Valentines for our Grandmas and Grandpas. I was going to do it later in the day but realized our post office hear closes at the early hour of 11:30 so after breakfast we got started. It was a lot easier this year with Ella to get her hand print. I found this idea on Pinterest and had a couple other friends did the same one! It has kind of become a tradition of sorts to send our hand prints in our Valentines so this one was perfect when I saw it!
She told me it was cold when I first put it on.
She was kind of confused at first like why are you doing that to me mom!Easton is always happy as a clam and goes with the flow!
Then we got to our feet, I love Ella's face in this one it was tickling her a lot, she kept saying "tickle mom."

Easton just isn't as ticklish!
Here is our final product of one of the three we made!

Bowling

Last Friday, February 10th we were invited to my friend Lauren's Birthday Celebration! She chose to go bowling. I don't think we had been bowling together since before we had kids, I'd been just not with Andrew. It was a lot of fun, our group took up six lanes! After we bowled she had us over for cake and ice cream. I hadn't had cake and ice cream in a long time and it tasted really good!
Family shot
Ella had fun pushing a few balls down the lane for us. I actually think she really enjoyed watching us she would cheer and clap. Easton would join in on the clapping and laugh!

It took so long to get down there she had to take a seat!We bowled on our lane with our friends Justin and Monica. Our scores after the first game. I beat Andrew that is all that matters :) but the winner of the game was Monica who set a personal record she mentioned she had never gotten over 100 in her life and she got well over!

Craft

Last Friday after our Music time a couple friends put together a little Valentines Craft for the kids to do in place of doing a Valentines Party. We made little Valentines People. Ella loved using the glue and putting the hearts on as well as coloring them. It was simple, fun, and just what the kids needed.
Easton just wanted to touch it all but I wouldn't let him! Here are the hearts she glued onShe was pretty proud of herself and had to sleep with it in her bed for nap time!

Projects

Ella and I have been trying to take advantage of the last little while we have of Easton taking morning naps. I have made a list and printed some things off for us to do together while he naps. One of her favorite things to do is to paint. She asks to do it two or three times a day. This day I painted some shapes on my page and she named them all for me and then told me the colors. It is amazing how much they learn daily!

We found some fun stuff to make crafts with at the Dollar store. Last Thursday we made hearts from our foam sheets. Her favorite part was being able to use the glue to glue the eyes on. She loved the stickers as well! You can totally see she is saying cheese in these next two pictures!

Bunch of Random

Ella loves this crown she got for her birthday. She either wears it or carries it around with her all day, she actually has a collection of "stuff" she carries around with her. She couldn't get it on so she put it on the other way. She looked funny! She loves that it has Ariel on it!

I swear Easton will be potty trained before Ella he loves the toilet more than she does! I hope someday my kids grow out of the whole eyes closed in every picture deal!
We went to a friends house for a Superbowl party and I made a couple treats. One being a sugar cookie bar. I let the kids like the spatula from the frosting and they were in heaven! It was really good but sadly I knocked my Pyrex dish off my friends counter and it shattered along with the rest of our dessert! Luckily we all got a taste first!
Last week Easton was super sick. He had this nasty barking cough and wheezed all Sunday night in his sleep so I took him into the doctors the next day. He ended up having Croup which I told the doctor he had. The doctor didn't believe me and told me it was allergies and then Easton finally coughed and the doctor says oh that's croup, duh that's what I told you. He could have really used a breathing treatment or something to help him but seeing it was the doctors lunch hour and I was the last patient for the morning he rushed us and sent us home with a prescription for Zyrtec. I was really upset later that night about it, who gives an allergy medicine for croup. Apparently he gives it out for everything from the flu to coughs. It was a long couple of nights because that is when it was the worst was at night. He would go to bed and wake up an hour later just coughing so we had some late nights last week and some long ones too! Luckily the humidifier helped him so much (doctor told me it really wouldn't work) and he is almost back to himself with just a little cough every now and again!

The Rest of Utah

Ella and Jocey became good little friends. It is amazing how much more they played with each other this time. When we saw them at Thanksgiving they didn't interact with each other as much as they did this time around. They had so much fun and were running through the house within five minutes of getting there! They also are little trouble makers. My sister who lives next door came out her door in her garage to find the two of them playing in her garage. So we had to lock my mom's front door and dead bolt it so they couldn't escape and they just went and got a chair to unlock it. They finally were able to understand that they could only go outside if someone went with them! They liked running out the front door and then coming back in through the garage door!

My cousin Olivia was so cute and was reading books to them. Ella and Jocey both had to have turns holding baby Jack. He took it rather well!We were able to go see my little sister cheer at a volleyball game. I guess it was the last game of the year.
We got a picture with most of the kids in their Christmas jammies since we weren't all together at Christmas. Tyler's jammies were just like Eastons but his are too small now. And the boys can't sit still! We went to the mall to find a dress for my little sister to wear on Valentines Day. Her missionary is coming home tomorrow (valentines day) and she found the cutest red dress to wear to the airport! Ella loved the mirrors in the back corner of the store! She loves admiring herself! She insisted she wear the headband and the bows!
