Date Night

This past weekend we had our monthly date night. Every month the couples in our neighborhood all get together and one couple plans and hosts the night. This month we were in charge so we decided to go to a Bee's Game. It turned out to be perfect weather and a double header. They played the Las Vegas 51's and won the second game in the last inning. It was pretty exciting. After the game they had fireworks which were just as great. All in all we had a lot of fun and thanks to everyone who came!

The Good The Bad and The Ugly

So just when you think everything is going great something always has to happen. I was home last Tuesday waiting for Andrew to get home from work when he called and the second the phone rang I knew something was wrong. He got hit on his way home from work. Its funny cause when you see the truck it doesn't look like it because the girl hit him right in the tire making it so he couldn't drive it. I never thought I would stand in the middle of State Street. I had to go and pick him up because they had to tow his truck. He was ok and no one was hurt but he really wants his truck back. Her insurance company is paying for everything and they gave us a rental car. They called today and said that the truck will be done on Monday! Andrew is glad to be getting his truck back and that they didn't total it. He is also glad we don't have to get a new car cause we don't want a car payment. He is not quite sure why the girl turned into him because he had a green light but were just glad no one was hurt and we get our little truck back!

Vacation

Test Day Results

Andrew took the OAT on May 9th, it took four hours. He did better then he ever thought possible scoring really well and getting in the 90 - 95 Percentile, which means he did better then the other 90 to 95 % who took the test putting him in the top ten percent! I am so proud of him and all the hard work he has done in the last six months to study, it paid off to have him locked in our office day after day only to come out to eat dinner. Now all that is left is to graduate and apply and wait. He will apply the first of August for most and be done by the first of September with all his applications and then it will be the waiting game. We both turned in our papers and we are both cleared for graduation in December!!! We cannot wait to be done with school (at least for 8 months for Andrew). Also we booked tickets to go to New York and Boston this summer in August. Andrew has never been to either place so he is excited to go and have a break from school and work.

Jazz Game

So for Andrew's b-day I got him tickets to the Jazz vs. Rockets for last week. We went and had a great time (except the two guys in from of us who showed up drunk) they won and now they are playing them now as we speak. Andrew loves the Jazz and going to their games we used to do it more when we dated and were first married. Sorry the pictures are so bad their from Andrew's phone.

When is Winter ever going to end?!?

I don't mind watching it snow but maybe in January. I cannot believe next week is May and it is still cold and snowing. Oh well it doesn't make it feel like school should be over but only a few more days and then we get a week and a half off. Well I do but Andrew is taking his Optical Admissions Test on May 9th so he is a zombie and studies a lot (cause I am mean and make him). He will be glad when it is over and a lot more fun to be around! We are planning on celebrating that night with dinner anyone is invited to join us.

Happy Birthday Andrew!!!

On March 3rd Andrew turned the big 30! We had both our our families over for dinner the night before and for cake and ice cream. Andrew got some new clothes to shadow Optometrists, and Jazz tickets and a laptop which he bought himself. He doesn't know how he feels being 30. He had a good birthday all in all. I also got him an ice cream cake from cold stone which was so good.

St. George

So over Presidents Day weekend we went to St. George. We left friday and then saturday morning we watched my little brother play soccer. It was cold but fun to watch. We went shopping and ate at the Pizza Factory as always. He then had another game on Saturday night which they tied. Then on Sunday we drove to Las Vegas for a farewell of one of my dad's friends son. The weather was even nicer in Vegas. Then on Monday we watched one more game and then got ready to leave and did somemore shopping. My family left but Andrew and I stayed and went to dinner with an old mission companion. It was a lot of fun. All in all it was a great weekend nice warm weather (it was hard to come back to the cold...I told Andrew to turn around when we got out in Cedar City and it was freezing), it is always nice to have a few days off of school and work. The worst part is that we forgot our camera in the hotel room everytime we left so sorry no pictures.

Shutterfly

So I recently found a new website called Shutterfly. It is an online scrapbooking site. It is so addictive. My sister and I are making a 12"x12" book for my mom for Christmas of a trip our family took across the country in 2002 to see all the church sites. It is way worth the amount that you pay and if it ever gets ruined they keep all your projects in their database so you can just order a new one and that way your pictures aren't lost forever. I think I am going to do my wedding in this form because I have over 500 pictures and that would take forever to do and a lot more money then this book. You can also do calendars and christmas cards and much more on there site it is definitely worth checking out! www.shutterfly.com

Surprise Vacation!

So on October 5th we celebrated our 2nd anniversary. It has gone so fast. So for our anniversary we decided to just go stay in a condo for a few days in Park City so Andrew helped me book the room and we were all set. Well little did I know what he had up his sleeve. I was at work one day and a package came from Get Away Today and inside was hotel and ticket vouchers for Disneyland. I was so excited! So we left on Friday the 5th and drove to Vegas and ate at the Cheesecake Factory, which is so good. Everyone must try the raspberry and white chocolate truffle one it is so good. That night we stayed in Primm, Nevada, on the border of California and Nevada. It was cheap but too cheap it was supposed to be non-smoking and it wasn't it was nasty we slept without the top blanket. Don't ever stay there its not worth it. The next morning we were able to get conference through the radio and we went shopping at the outlets there, that is the only good thing about that place. That night we got to our hotel and left immediately to see my friend Bobbi and her husband and went to dinner with them in San Diego. Andrew also got to see the San Diego temple for the first time it was fun.
The next day we just hung out and played games cause it was Sunday. On Monday we were able to go to Disneyland it was so crowded and it was Gay Days, it was so nasty they were everywhere. Disneyland and California Adventure were all decorated for Halloween and it was cool the California letters were changed and the A's they made into candy corns. We also got to eat at the Blue Bayou, if anyone ever goes to Disneyland it is a must to eat there. The monte cristo sandwich is to die for. A couple got engaged while we were at lunch, they had there family riding the pirates of the Carribean ride hold up signs saying will you marry me and he got down on one knee. It was so cute. Anyways, Tuesday we went to Disneyland again for a while in the morning and then we left and went and changed to go to the beach. We decided once we got to the beach that we didn't want to swim so we left and went to Balboa Island and got a frozen banana. Then we decided to go back to Disneyland and spent the rest of the day there. Wednesday we left and drove all the way home in one day, it didn't seem like that long of a drive on the way back which was nice. I love road trips and we had so much fun. I love my husband so much, he is always full of surprises that I would never expect. He is the greatest in the world!

Here are some pictures from our trip:
