The middle of October my mom and sister went and got 6 boxes of apples. Emily came up one day and we got to work on applesauce! It literally took us a couple hours to get going, by the time we did it was lunch time so we ran to Wendy's for lunch and then got to work! We worked pretty fast! We got over 50 pints and about 20 quarts of applesauce and then we made apple butter and got 60 half pints! We love the apple butter, I can't eat a grilled cheese anymore without it! It was a long day! My mom came up after school and helped us work on it! They each left about 9:30 and I finished up processing the applesauce and apple butter! It was a lot of work but we enjoy it all year! Plus my neighbor gifts are already done and Andrew's office gifts!
