Kid Pictures

I have been wanted to take some nice pictures of the kids for a couple months now. I decided last Saturday after naps we could go and take some. The kids both had good naps so I thought it was going to be good, wrong! They wanted nothing to do with it and were being nightmares! Nothing not even promises of candy, fruit snacks, or ice cream worked. I think they had had to much of it already over the last two days! We got a few good ones but nothing what I had envisioned in my mind. I think I might just pay someone to do it this summer.
I had always heard about this main street in Collierville that has cute shops and some trains but had never seen it until the week before we were driving around looking for something and stumbled across it. The flowers when we first saw were all out and the blossoms but once we went back a week later most of them were gone but it still was pretty.
Thanks to Aunt Deb for the clothes. She bought these for the kids when she was here in March and they looked so cute in them. Easton's shirt is a little big but that is a good thing he can wear it all summer!

I really wanted them to sit the other way around but they wouldn't cooperate!

The one good one we got of Ella. She was actually on the ground protesting something so I told her to put her hands like that and she did and it actually turned out.

We really liked these of Easton except for all the sun spots!

Primary Easter Party

Last Saturday the Primary had a fun little Easter party. This nice couple is our ward is always so generous to let us use there property for ward activities. They have a few acres of land and we have a few ward get togethers there every year. It is nice because it is secluded and surrounded by trees! They had lots of fun things to do. There was an egg hunt with different areas for nursery, jr. primary, and senior primary. They also had a nice little potluck picnic, face painting, a old school merry-go-round, a train, bunny races, and a photographer in our ward was nice enough to take family pictures for us. It was a big hit with all the kids.
Waiting for the egg hunt to start the kids went and played in the field with all the balls they had and climbed around the train!

Then the egg hunt started. Easton technically isn't in nursery yet but we let him get some eggs anyways. By this egg hunt they both had become pros and knew exactly what to do. The couple who hosted the party at their house are amazing and boiled AND dyed almost 800 eggs for the kids to find, they are amazing! Each family had also donated some eggs with candy for it as well so there was plenty to go around! Some of the kids caught on quickly to just picking up the plastic eggs but a lot of the real ones had become smashed.

Easton quickly became attached to his bucket again and wouldn't let us take it away. They probably rode the train at least 10 times in the couple of hours we were there, they loved it!
Ella's new nursery leader Lisa was so nice to take Ella on the train a few times as well. Easton loves Lisa too because each Sunday we end up in the hall during Sunday school and he heads right over to the open door in their nursery and she feeds him snacks! He is beyond ready to go to nursery!Easton loved being able to wander all over by himself. He ventured over to his friend Soren who was playing with the balls and they were being so cute sharing them and passing them back and forth! The cute little merry go round that was human powered!
Andrew had volunteered for the bunny sack races and him and the other guy had a great idea to have all the dads race. It was hilarious to watch!
Poor Andrew fell flat on his face. His feet are too big for such things but he was a good sport to play along!

I must not have looked in the mirror before I left home I don't look so great! Also it was 66 degrees in our house that morning so I thought it would be a little chilly plus the weather said it wasn't getting very warm so I dressed accordingly and then was hot the whole time!Ella has a bunny painted on her cheek and Easton has a star
We rode the train around three more times before we decided it was time to go home and take naps.

Library Egg Hunt

Last Friday afternoon we went over to the library for a little Easter egg hunt. They start with the 1 and 2 year old so they don't get trampled. I was surprised how quickly Easton caught on to what was going on. He did stop every few eggs to try and open them and eat what was inside but he loved it! Ella had done a egg hunt at school the day before so she was well aware of what was going on and what to do.
The library is surrounded by a beautiful lake and park and it was the perfect day out!

Easton was so excited he was running as fast as his little legs can take him! Apparently there was a contest to collect the most eggs. We didn't get that memo but we still counted ours and came in second place and Ella won a pink bunny she was so excited and wouldn't let anyone touch it. They had an Easter bunny for the kids but mine weren't having any of it. Ella kept telling us for days after that bunnies are nice, I guess she was trying to make it clear in her head that it really wasn't that bad of an experience!
For the rest of the day if we even tried or dare touch Easton's bucket he would flip out he didn't want anyone touching his candy!

Chipmunk

Easton is our resident chipmunk. He has one molar in and another poking its way through this week so he has a hard time chewing a lot of the time still. It will be an hour after our meal is finished and I will find food in his mouth still. I have to say he makes a pretty cute chipmunk though! He loves bananas and it is one of his few words he can say!

Easter Package

Grandma Pond surprised us with a fun Easter package. We waited for Easton to wake up from his nap before we opened it. Ella was excited! They both wanted to help open it but lucky for us neither of them could figure it out so it saved us a fight!

Ella was so excited the look on her face was priceless, but giving her a coloring book or a book will win her over any day!Easton was excited for a new book and a little while later tried to put it in his mouth so it is now up high to look at with one of us!Ella wasted no time and luckily her purse full of crayons was two feet away. She loves to color that is the one thing she can remember from church and school each week! She was also excited once my mom pointed the stickers out to her a couple days later that she hadn't noticed inside the coloring book.
