Pizza and Waving

Last night we went out with some friends to a yummy pizza place. We ordered a 29" pizza! It was so huge and very tasty!

Ella's new trick is waving. She waves at everyone she sees!
These were taken from Andrew's cell phone so they aren't the greatest quality!

Swimmin

Since it has been so hot here (90 degrees with 90% Humidity = HOT) we decided to finally go out to the pool we look at everyday! There wasn't hardly anyone there which is unusal for our pool we decided to take advantage! It felt so nice!

Didn't mean to make this picture look this way but I loved how it came out!

Her $3 starfish floaty

I just love these two shots!

Videos

Ella makes us laugh everyday! She is so funny she will just laugh at us no matter what noise we make. Everytime we try to get it on camera she stops!

A few weeks ago she started saying ba ba ba and ma ma ma. She also loves to sit and spit and the last couple days she has started smacking her lips. She will smack them while eating between bites and says mmm, she must really love what we give her!

Six Months!

On Monday Ella turned Six Months Old! I cannot believe it! She is such a happy baby and hardly ever complains! This morning we went in for her check up and she had four shots and a toe prick! She now weighs 13 lbs 3 oz. Her head is 17" and she is 23 1/2" long. Her head is in the 50 th percentile and her weight and height are below 5%. I think I might measure her length again myself because she seems longer then that to me.

We had to get a shot of her back pockets cause they are just to cute, the matching shoes are a little to big!

Sitting

The last two days Ella has decided that sitting up is the cool thing to do. Before it was 30 sec to a minute and she was done but she will now sit for 10, 20, and this particular day for 45 min!

Ella's Loves

1. The back right hand corner of her crib, with her head practically kinked and face up against the bumper! She ends up this way every night even when she is put to bed already asleep. Last night we moved her back to how she starts and checked 5 min later and she was back like this!

2. Any cord she can find. All cords have now been put far away and she can't reach any of them!

Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day. Andrew made me this yummy Edible Arrangement, he made an even bigger one for our brunch they gave the mom's at church. We love our moms and all they do for us!

Redbirds Game

Last Tuesday was Andrew's last day off for 5 weeks so we headed to the Memphis Redbirds game with some friends! The night started off a little humid but turned really nice later on. We sat on the bluff and enjoyed the game!
The bird came to see us, kinda creepy but Ella was in love the bird laid down in front of her and she loved its beak.

First Swim

Last Saturday we went swimming with some friends out at the Tunica Aquatic Center. It was so much fun! Ella loved the water and her turtle! She loved when the water would splash on her face. She got really cold toward the end and was very calm. We will definitely be swimming a lot more this summer! After we got home she took a 3 hour nap we totally wore her out!

Tuckered Out

She was playing one minute then asleep the next. She had almost a 3 hr nap about and hour and a half before this. She then slept 13 hrs last night.

Chicago

Andrew finished school a few weeks ago! He is now in his second year! During his week and a half off we decided to go to Chicago for a couple of days. We stopped in Springfield, IL for the first night so we could see the Lincoln sights the next morning. Then we headed on to Chicago. It is such a walker friendly city and was very clean. We probably walked 8 miles in one day we were worn out!
Here is Ella ready to go!
Illinois first state house unfortunately it is closed on Mondays.

Inside Lincoln's home

Outside Lincoln's home. The National Park Service gives tours of this house. When Lincoln's family sold the house to the state they sold it for $1 under the conditions that people would be able to tour it for free. Well the tradition still lives on and so the tours are free which is always nice!

We were able to stop and see a friend of mine from growing up, she lives outside of Chicago. I hadn't seen her in 8 years. It was fun to catch up and they were so nice and treated us to some amazing Chicago deep dish pizza! She has a little 3 year old boy and this little girl who is two months younger then Ella.

We wore her out before we even left the hotel for the day.

Navy Pier - this is where we parked and then walked the whole city from here.

People really wanted to give us there opinion on how Ella was dressed. One lady told us she was cold, the back of her head was sweaty I don't think she was cold. Another lady made a point to yell at us and tell us she was getting sunburned. Well she had a hat and sunscreen on so I think she was ok.

The weather was perfect - 75 and hardly a cloud. It was windy in a few spots but other then that it was really nice.

There were tulips all over the city this was a little garden area just off Michigan Ave.

Michigan Ave. we just window shopped the only place we could afford anything was the 7-Eleven.
Weird Kidney bean thing

Millennium Park it was so pretty and fun to walk through, although it was very windy. We enjoyed sitting down on the grass it was nice and soft and didn't have chiggers.

Windy

It was so much fun we wished we could have seen more. I know I am forgetting already some of the things we saw.
