Snow

So it snowed pretty much twice this winter which was really strange we are used to way more! It snowed on Christmas and then again on Andrew's Birthday, March 3rd. The kids loved having Dad home to play with them and lucky for us there is a little piece of city owned property right behind our house for them to play since we don't have grass yet. They were in heaven!

While Ella was at school Easton got to help shovel! 

They also built the cutest little snowman!

He also built them a little snow fort! Sadly the snow was gone by the next day!

Andrew's Birthday

Andrew's birthday is on March 3rd. I wanted this year to be great, I really felt bad I didn't give him a very good Christmas so I wanted to make up for it on his birthday. Well I failed miserably again! We went to dinner the Saturday before to Red Robin to use his free birthday burger. The food was really good which we were glad because our last experience made us not want to go back. We had such a great night. 

Sunday we celebrated his birthday with my family. I made him a Cherry chocolate cake and we sang to him! The cake was so good! Well it all went down hill after we got home. We put the kids down and then about an hour and a half later Easton woke up throwing up. It wasn't 20 minutes later and Addie was throwing up. Well by then I felt like I was going to die I was weak and my stomach hurt. Within the next two hours I was the next victim. Poor Andrew was up all night taking care of us. He got up and went to work and I laid in bed all day with Easton on my floor next to me and Addie with me in bed. We all slept most of the day, and Ella was in heaven with the remote in her hands all day and able to watch whatever she wanted! I think she ate junk food all day but I was grateful she was able to kind of take care of herself! Andrew called about 3 to check on us and said he felt like he was going to die. He called in sick for the next day which the next day was his birthday so he thought they would think he was just wanting the day off. Sadly we never got to finish his birthday cake, it just wasn't what I wanted after being sick! We all went to bed that night at 8 and woke up the next morning at 9. Andrew felt like a little sick still but for the most part felt like it had gone through his system without ever actually being sick. It ended up snowing that day a ton so he was able to play out in it with the kids! We went to dinner that night together and it was good but none of us had a huge appetite back yet :) Needless to say he didn't have a cake on his actual birthday and I was going to spend the day before his birthday getting him a couple gifts which ended up not happening. Luckily I had ordered a few things on Amazon for him like a month before so he did get a few things but I was bummed I wasn't able to get him what I had my eye on for a while. Luckily we only made half of my family sick from being with them that Sunday night :) I felt really bad but I had no idea we were all going to come down with it 4 hours later! All in all I ended up doing over 30 loads of Laundry that week because Ella became sick on Wednesday night! I think every one's sheets and blankets were washed at least 4 times that week!

Random

Addie had her first little teeny tiny ponytail a few weeks ago! It certainly made her look older and it helped her keep her bow in! Also somehow my window seat in my room has become the spot to take all our toys and leave them after we are done! I'm pretty sure it is my kids favorite spot to be in our house!

We love our view at our house! We get some pretty amazing sunsets! These were like three nights in a row of sunsets!

These two seem to be fighting more and more which drives me bonkers! But there are still times they are still each others best friends! They really do miss each other when one is gone and I hope they always will stay close! 

They love the dress up costumes Santa brought they play with them daily!

She is busy!

She is really good at squatting! She refuses to actually walk but she will go from this to standing for a few minutes!

Valentines Weekend

We had such a great Valentines Day! We celebrated it for 3 days! Friday Andrew and I went out. Our babysitter couldn't watch them on Saturday so we opted for Friday which tends to be less busy anyways! We went to a fun place called the movie grille. It is a theater with recliners and someone comes and you can order food, treats, drinks and so on and they have trays to eat on. We had been wanting to see Hunger Games and just hadn't made it and they luckily still had it that weekend. We really enjoyed our experience and our food was really good plus they refilled our drinks during the movie! It was a nice relaxing night! Saturday Andrew had off which was a bonus he gets a Saturday off here and there and it makes it nice it was Valentines Day! We woke up to the kids candy trail! I should have taken a picture! Andrew made us yummy heart shaped pancakes! Their friends next door had them over to play and then they decorated cupcakes together. We then went to lunch together. It was kind of nice to switch it up a little. We drove over to my parents after and dropped off Valentines. We then went home to have a little Valentines dinner with our little Valentines! We got a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's. We set the table with nice dishes. We got out the nice wine glasses and had sprite! We lit some candles and had a nice candle light dinner with our three little loves! It was perfect and was so fun to share with them! I love having a day to show my family how much I love and care for them I just need to remember to show it more than that one day! Sunday my mom had us over for a Valentines dinner. She gave us each Valentines and a little box with Strawberry Creams in it from See's Candy! It was a perfect way to end the weekend!

The kids made some Valentines for Andrew's mom and we sent her a picture of them!

It was also about 65 degrees on Valentines and so Addie practiced her walking!

Playing outside

Pretty much all of February was in the 50's and 60's outside! The kids loved it! They played with friends almost every day it was nice until it was dark out. It was nice to be able to send them outside to get some energy out. We have missed the snow though. This is the one year I actually bought all the kids snow stuff to wear and it has snowed twice (one being yesterday!) Addie loves to be outside so this has worked out for her she lets Ella and Easton pull her around in the wagon and she is happy for hours!

I got this trike thing for Addie for her birthday and figured once spring rolled around we could use it for our walks but it was so nice we put it together and have taken a few walks already! She loves it!

All the kids turned their bikes over one day and they were making ice cream by turning the pedals, it was so cute to watch! It was nice to sit and get to know some of my neighbors better as well!

Zoo

Last Fall my sister and I went in on a Zoo pass together. We thought maybe once spring came we could go more often. Well winter has proved to be nothing but warm weather so we have been able to use our pass a lot. We went to the Zoo once a week for almost a month it was so nice! The kids loved having something to get out and do and it reminded me of how we used to go weekly or twice a week in Memphis! My kids love the Zoo! The nice part is the rides are free with our pass so they can ride the train and merry go round as much as they like! 

1 year checkup

A couple days after her birthday I took Addie in for her 1 year wellness check. She is really healthy and knew exactly what sitting on the table meant....shots! She weighed 18 lbs 3 oz which is about 27%. She is about 29 inches which is about 25%, and her head is 45.1 cm which is about 55%. Her head doesn't seem all big compared to her body but I guess it is! When she was around 6 months he was worried about her head being mishapped and had me watch it for the last six months to make sure we didn't need a helmet. I kind of forgot after about 9 months but he said it looks just fine! Thank goodness! I always thought it looked just fine! She had all 4 vaccines that day as well and was so sad when she got done! I wanted to cry for her! He also looked in her ear from earlier in the month and said that her ruptured ear drum had closed back up and look completely healed but her ear was still a little red so he gave us another antibiotic that we started right away! I was grateful he just gave the antibiotic to us because he knew it was heading towards infection and that way I didn't have to come in again and pay for another office visit!
