Golfing

The Saturday before Memorial Day when we went to my family reunion the guys went golfing all afternoon. They had a good time they said until I called wondering when they were going to be done and I kind of got a little upset at them on the phone. It had been a long day for me and the kids were melting down and so was I. Really though they enjoyed golfing and the course they played was fun and pretty from the pictures they took!
Andrew with my brother Spencer, soon to be Brother-in-law Kyle, Brother-in-law Brent, and my Dad. I am glad they all have something they like to go and do together!

Fence

There is a hole in the side fence in the yard here and Easton loves it! He loves that he can see the dogs and everything the neighbors have on the other side of the fence. It is usually the first thing he goes running for when he gets outside! I just love his little personality right now he is so adventurous and learning so much!

He was asking where the dogs went

Memorial Day

We had such a great Memorial Day this year. It was nice to be back in Utah to spend a holiday with our families. Our day was jam packed and a lot of fun! We started off the morning with breakfast with Andrew's family. We had yummy buttermilk pancakes, eggs, bacon, juice, hash browns, and donuts. The kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousins and their nice aunts brought them all sorts of fun things to play with! Ella and Easton both loved the bubbles the best!

Easton and Grandma Brown

Easton tried to "play" croquet with Colin and Megan but his idea was to go and steal their balls and mallets and walk away!

Early in the afternoon we headed to the cemetery where all of my grandparents are buried. They just set my Grandpa's stone on his grave the week before so we were excited to see it. It looked great!

We even talked my Grandma Duzett into getting a picture with us!

My family minus my brother and his family.

We then went and saw my Grandpa and Grandma Pond's graves. My Grandpa died before I was born and so every Memorial Day for as long as I can remember we have gone to the cemetery to see his grave. My Grandma died when I was a senior in High School. It is nice to have a day to remember those loved ones who have gone before us and to celebrate their lives and sacrifices!

After we left the cemetery we went to my Grandma Duzetts for a BBQ. It was such a nice day and we were happy since it was warm (it had been in the low 60's all weekend!) The kids enjoyed being pushed around the grass in the car!

Spencer is really good at taking Ella out of her comfort zone.

The food!

My Grandma takes such good care of all of us and especially the little great grand kids! She found them their own table and chairs.

My little cousin Olivia had these girls attention all night long! They love to follow her around and she is so darling with them. They were playing telephone in this picture. It was hilarious to watch because a 4 yr old and 2 1/2 yr old don't really get that game yet!

Easton and Caleb were having fun playing peek a boo!

Somebody taught Easton chew and show, not to excited about that one!

Family Reunion

We went to a family reunion the Saturday before Memorial Day. It was for my Grandma Duzetts side of the family. We usually have it at the local park in the small town we go to but it was so cold and windy we ended up at the community center. We enjoyed some yummy dutch oven food and homemade scones (the part I look forward to the most!) and some honey for our scones came from a relatives hives. It tasted so good! I ate more that day then I should have! The guys ended up going golfing and it took a lot longer than we thought. While we waited we played at the local park but it still was so cold and of course my kids are dressed for the 90's, we packed all our winter clothes away months ago thinking by the end of May when we were to Utah we would be OK with our summer clothes, I guess not but at least they each had a jacket!
Katy was a good sport to play with them while I was freezing and grumpy!
Some how this picture got into the mix. We had to take Katy shopping one day to find an outfit for her engagement pictures that night. I was the only free person that day and so we went with her. We went to two malls to find the right size. By the time we got to the second mall I thought we should be OK she is just trying on something that is on hold so we don't need a stroller but apparently we did they went crazy, I did get them to sit in this chair for a few seconds but moral of the story is no matter how long we are going to be we must always have a stroller!
We ate dinner at my Grandma Duzett's house a few Sundays ago and it was finally warm enough for cool treats! She got out some yummy juice bars and the kids were in heaven! Easton we still don't trust with anything he gets so messy still but luckily Ella is slowly becoming a cleaner eater.
He was so happy to have his own and not have to share and was in heaven! He was so so sticky by the time he was done but it was worth it because he was happy!

Walks

We have been on a few walks since we moved here. We have been trying to explore and have fun. The first day we went Ella excitingly asked if Garrett and Kayleigh were coming on our walk. It broke my heart to tell her no, we really miss our walking buddies! Easton fell asleep the last few blocks. Poor kid has been so tired lately. He has not fallen asleep in the stroller since he was a newborn and in the car seat still. Hopefully his last tooth pops through this week I can see it and feel it then no more teeth for him until his two year molars and hopefully he isn't as tired anymore!
Ella was excited we walked on Garbage day and since there are three seperate cans that have to be picked up every Wednesday we see lots of trucks. On our walk she saw three all in a few seconds and screamed with joy! She is so funny, she thinks every truck she hears now is the garbage truck!

Pre Move

I found these pictures on my phone from before we moved. The kids did really well while I packed around them. They got into the wings and other dress ups while I packed up their toys one afternoon. Ella was being so funny and poor Easton follows suit and wants wings on to poor kid just does a lot of girly things!
Then she found her beach hat I unearthed and a phone and proceeded to "call" all of our families in Utah to tell them she was coming!
He got mad later when I tried to get them off he didn't want to give them up for anything!

After picking Ella up from her last day of Thursday School we decided to stay and swing with our friends! Easton loved it!
On Ella's last day of Thursday school Easton and I spent the whole time running from store to store trying to get all of our errands ran. He was being so funny with me and giving me all sorts of faces!
This is his face he makes all the time. He used to do it more but has not as much. Sometimes I quickly learned it was his way of saying yes to me.
He also loves to make an "O" with his mouth!
We had a good time together and I think it was much needed for both of us since we had been home and packing so much. He needed my attention for a few hours and it made him happier and me happier!
