Girls Day

One day during Christmas break we had a girls day and spent the afternoon at my Aunts house watching Anne of Green Gables and eating treats! It was a nice break and so relaxing!

Aquarium

We have a new aquarium close to us and I bought a pass! It opened right before Christmas and so one day for Christmas break we headed there with our neighbors the Egberts! It was super busy but we had fun looking around and exploring! 

Ella holding a star fish! If you know Ella she is terrified of every animal, bug, birds, etc! So this was big for her!

Temple Square

We did our annual Temple Square trip this year after Christmas! It was cold and snowy so we didn't last long this year! We followed it up by going to Spaghetti Factory after dinner per tradition!

Christmas

Christmas Day was quite an adventure this year. We woke up super early so we could fit it all in! We woke the kids up around 6 and went downstairs to see what Santa had brought! I always say I am not going to go overboard but I always do. This year I feel like I did a little bit better but I still bought way to much!! We woke up to snow! Andrew had to go over and make sure all the walks for shoveled at the church since it was Sunday. Some awesome people in our ward were already there doing it and it was such a blessing! We drove down to my parents ward and our normal 25-30 minute drive to their house took almost two hours! It had snowed so much and come down so fast that the interstate wasn't even plowed! We were so thankful to have four wheel drive! We arrived to their meeting 30 minutes late and missed the sacrament but we were happy to be there in one piece! It was an amazing meeting all about our Savior Jesus Christ and it is so fitting to celebrate his birth and be able to attend church on the same day!

There was one lane that was clear! Right after this we saw a huge truck spin out and slide all over the place, kind of scary!

These are all out of order but this was after waking up to see what Santa had brought!

We attended church with my whole family! It was so fun to be there together! My mom made Ella and Jocelyn these skirts when they were 3 and 4 and they now fit Addie and Rachel and my mom still had fabric so she made one for the rest of the girls so they were all matching!

Opening presents at my parents! It is a madhouse when we are all together but it was so fun!

After presents and breakfast at my parents we spent the afternoon with Andrew's family. We opened gifts and had lunch together! It was such a wonderful day!

Christmas Eve

Each year we switch off Christmas Eve with our families. If we have Thanksgiving with Andrew's family then we have Christmas Eve with mine. So this year we were with my family. We had dinner and our Nativity program at my Uncle Todd's house this year. It is fun to have little kids again to act it out! Ella was an angel and Easton was a wise man and Addie was a shepherd! 

We headed home a little early because we knew a snow storm was coming in. The kids opened their PJ's! This years Christmas PJ's were quite the problem! I ordered them a few days before Thanksgiving on Gymboree's black Friday sale online. Well they shipped and went out for delivery and my mail person never delivered it to me, it was undeliverable! I was home all day and she never tried so my package ended being sent back and a long story short I finally got it four days after Christmas and after tons of phone calls and frustration! I had ordered all the grand kids pajamas for my mom so they would match so it was a huge mess! I ended up going to four different gymborees all over Salt Lake to get every one's size and the right ones to match! It was a big joke! I have been hesitant to order anything online from them since!

Since we weren't able to do Santa Pics this year with all the cousins I just had my kids done! I also made Andrew be Santa! They turned out so cute!
