The Sunday before Christmas the kids wore their new church clothes! Ella was so excited for her new dress! I have had it hanging in her closet since last February when I bought it and she has asked multiple times to wear it!

Playing in the Snow
The beginning to middle of December we were really cold (like not getting above 18 degrees for a couple weeks cold!) and we got quite a bit of snow. It was a lot like January weather. Andrew had a few days off and so he took the kids out and played one day for a long time! They loved it! They were icicles when they came in but still wanted to go out for more! They did snow angels, made a little snowman, and rolled around in it! They are so lucky to have a great dad to go out with them and play!
Dance recital
The middle of December Ella had her first dance recital. She was so excited to perform! She was also just as excited to get to wear make-up (we have already had a discussion on when she can wear make up and she wasn't very thrilled with the answer I gave her!). She did a tap dance first to "Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train." Her second dance was for ballet to "If Santa was my Daddy." She did really well and actually knew the dance pretty well. Some kids in her class didn't seem to want to move much during the dance. She has a really great memory and so learning a dance remembering it is not a problem! Ever since that night she has asked when she can dance on the stage again! Lucky for her she has a little competition this spring and then her end of year recital!
My cousin Andrea's little girl Hannah is in her class! She danced perfectly as well! They love having each other in their class!
She came out and stood on stage with her hands in her overalls, luckily she looked our way and we could tell her to get them out!
Hannah is on the far left!
Random December
This are random, no place to be pictures from my phone in December. As soon as I can get Andrew's phone to let me upload his pictures hopefully I can catch up!
We got a real tree this year! I love having a real tree, it smelled so wonderful and the kids loved it! We picked it out on the coldest day possible, it was probably 5 degrees out but we are glad we got it when we did because it snowed for a week straight the day after we brought it home!
My kids begged to go with me to the doctors for weeks so I finally let them. Thanks to Netflix and hospital Wi-Fi they did great and we made it off without any problems! They got it out of their systems and haven't really asked to go again!
I had a lot of energy one morning and got a lot done. The kids were left to play and did really well playing for a few hours. I went into Ella's room and this mess greeted me! I wasn't very happy but they left me alone for a long time so I'll take the mess! They helped me clean it up and they finally got dressed! I am grateful for days like this and that they play so well together (most of the time!).
This was after our Photo session with Santa we had a 30 minute wait to get our pictures so we went out and sat in the sun and had fruit snacks for being so good!
Easton more than thrilled to go to church!

Nutcracker tea
The first Saturday in December we headed to the Library for a fun activity. They put on a Nutcracker Tea. Thanks to my cousin Andrea for inviting us. The kids had a lot of fun! It was really snowy that morning but we managed to get there! They first had three crafts for the kids to do. First they made Nutcrackers out of a picture they colored rolled around a toilet paper roll. The second one they did was making mouse Candy Canes. The third was making 3-D snowflakes. I worked on the snowflake during the last activity. After the crafts they gave each of the kids a little snack. They had bags of popcorn, hot chocolate, and cupcakes. After the snacks they had the kids come up and they had someone there to teach a little dance to go with the nutcracker song. Ella loved this! Easton kept running back to where I was sitting but he eventually stayed with Ella and danced. He did get told once to get out of the curtains, oops! I was to far to tell him to get out! It sure was a fun activity and Ella already told me she can't wait to go again!

Sweet Boy
This was the week that Easton was so sick. He had really good naps! He loves to sleep on my bed. I loved how he had his hands. We sure love this little guy!

Crazy 2 year olds!
This was the weekend after Thanksgiving when we went downtown to dinner
and to see the lights. There was a 2 week time period where all three of
these boys would be two at the same time. We kept forgetting to take a
picture of the three of them and the next day was Easton's birthday so
we did it while we were at Trolley Square. All I had was my phone so
they aren't the greatest pictures but it is still fun to document the
two weeks they were all 2!
Temple
The first week of December we had the privilege to go to the Oquirrh Mountain temple. Andrew's sister Becky's husband Daniel took out his Endowments and then after they were sealed. It was so fun to be there with them and share in their special day. It was their 2 year wedding anniversary and so that is why they chose that day. After words we all went to Schmidt's Pastry Cottage for lunch, which is where their wedding luncheon was! It was a blizzard all day but we still made it and were able to enjoy ourselves. Thanks to my sister who had our kids all day!
Easton's Birthday Part 2
A few days after Easton's birthday we were able to celebrate with Andrew's family. Easton was so excited! He was so confused as to why Ella got two parties and not him. He really wanted his Grandma and aunts to come celebrate (bring him gifts really!) They came over and I had made a couple different kinds of soups, bread sticks, and some fruit for dinner. It was perfect for how cold it was outside! After we ate Easton opened his presents and was so excited for everything he got, they definitely know how to spoil this kid! After we had brownies with peppermint ice cream and fudge. We were kind of sick of birthday cake so I thought this would be a good option, plus we could cut off a piece for Easton to blow a candle out of. He needed his own piece because he was sick and we didn't want him blowing on the whole pan of brownies. He had croup that whole week and so he really wasn't himself but was still excited to celebrate!
A cars pillow pet! We promptly hid it so he wouldn't slim it with his sick little nose!
He loved blowing out candles again!
