Midway

The first weekend in June we headed up to Midway for the Utah Optometric Associations annual meeting. It has been fun to make this a tradition, maybe someday Andrew can do his continuing education credits somewhere else but for now it is fun to take our family up there! Ella had to miss her last day of school because it started the day before the last day but she really didn't miss anything!
These two pictures are out of order, they are from the carnival the last night! Addie was so excited to get her face painted!
I was trying to get ready and loaded while Andrew was at work for a couple of hours! Addie was so excited to wear her backpack like the other two! It did look pretty cute on her!

We got there on Thursday night just in time for dinner. We always go to the onsite restaurant because they had half price pizzas but the place changed to a BBQ place this year so it was different but the food was amazing!!!

They had this girl playing songs behind us and we looked around and realized we were the only ones left in the place and she was playing whatever my kids wanted! It was a little awkward!

After dinner we went back to our room and the kids watched a movie and I baked some cookies from some dough I had made before we left home!
The next morning Andrew got up early and headed to classes! It was our first official day of summer break so we slept in and then we got up and I made german pancakes! The kids were in heaven! We love staying at this place where they have it because it has a nice kitchen to make some treats and our own breakfast!

By the time we finished breakfast and dishes and everyone got showered it was almost 11! We headed out for a nice walk and to go on the merry go round! The kids love this part of the hotel! We walked around some more and we had taken their scooters so they rode them, which turned out to be such a good thing to take with us!

I knew we were going to have some down time while Addie napped each day so I got each of them a small lego set and they both played with them for a few hours each day while she napped!

She woke up and I had brought some puzzles I bought a while back for Addie to do! She loves them!
Friday night we walked across the street and through the golf course to go see our friends Dan and Mandy. His parents have a place off the course and they were up there the same weekend so we headed over to say hi! It was such a nice walk! We chatted for a while and the kids played! We enjoyed sitting on their back porch watching a family of deer walk all over the golf course!

The family of deer ended up in the field next door and the kids were all in awe watching them!
Dan drove us back to the hotel and we agreed to let the kids swim. We were waiting for my parents to come up to spend the rest of the weekend with us so it gave us something to do to kill the time!

Saturday morning we got up and made some blueberry pancakes and Andrew came back from his class and took the kids to the pool again! Addie is a little fish and scares me to death she loves the pool so much! The rest of Saturday we walked around and then we just relaxed until it was time for the carnival.

One of the associations sponsors puts on a family carnival and it is always so much fun! They have hamburgers, hot dogs, and lots of yummy food. They set up a bounce house, you can go on the merry go round, they also set up a photo booth, face painter, and balloon artist. This year they also had some cotton candy! It was such a fun night and the kids loved it!

After the carnival we took my parents and went and got some ice cream at a local ice cream place! Then we drove up to a monument/memorial to show my parents! It was a nice night and we really enjoyed being with them! It was such a nice weekend! We enjoyed having my parents with us for part of it!

Kindergarten Graduation

Ella's Kindergarten Program and Graduation was on June 2nd. It turned out perfect because Andrew only works in the afternoon on Thursdays so he didn't have to take any time off! I honestly cannot believe that she is done with Kindergarten! She has loved it and excelled! I have had such reservations about her school because of some of the people that feed into it but this year she had a really good class! We will see how the next year goes! She is reading really well, she loves to write stories and draw pictures for them and is liking math as well! She made some really great friends and wants to be everyone's Best Friend! I can't wait to watch her grow and learn more! Now if we could just fix the problem of she hates waking up for school! She asked me one morning how much longer she had to get up early for school, I just laughed and said at least 15 more years! She loves her sleep and me getting her up at 8 and sometimes 8:15 if we were running late is really to early for her! She loves to sleep in and has done a good job of it this summer if I let her!

We have loved Mrs. Adams and hope that Easton has her this next year too!

Dance Recital

Ella's dance recital was the day after Memorial Day. She absolutely loves dance and she is pretty good, it comes really natural to her! It was a great night and Andrew barely made her first dance by the skin of his nails! I can't wait to see where dance can take her!

Memorial Weekend

Memorial Weekend we were pretty busy. Saturday we headed to Emery where my grandparents are from for a family reunion. It was a really nice day and we enjoyed some good food and hearing some awesome memories that my grandma's relatives have of our relatives. Afterward we went over to the cemetery which is where my great grandparents are buried. It was a great day! Monday we worked all morning in our yard planting flowers and mowing and weeding and then headed to a BBQ later in the afternoon! It was so nice to have a three day weekend and have Andrew not work for once on the weekend!

Memorial Weekend

I missed a picture from Memorial Day! The kids were hard to contain in the cemetery but they found a nice game to play so they weren't stomping all over people!

Addie and Bennett

These two! They are so funny together! They fight like an old married couple but they play so well together! They make us laugh!

Bikes and Swings

This girl is so busy and growing up way to fast! She thinks she is as old and as big as the other two! She thinks she can ride this bike but really she just sits there!

I was going to buy a baby swing but haven't gotten around to it but she does ok with this one so I don't know what to do!
