Fence

The middle of March we finally got our fence started! We are excited to finally have a little bit more privacy or just happy no one can see all our weeds and dirt anymore! Our next step is some sprinklers and then sod! Luckily our builder gave us enough sod to cover most of our yard and our neighbors didn't use their certificate and gave it to us so we have enough to cover it all! Hopefully by the end of the summer it will be all done! :)

Montana

March was a crazy month. It went by fast and we were really busy with lots of different things, we really didn't have a whole lot of free days! Andrew's Grandma was diagnosed over a year and a half ago with cancer. She was pretty healthy and it didn't stop her. The end of February she started going down hill and on March 13th she passed away. I personally didn't know her well but I know she was a wonderful person. She always sent my kids a birthday card with some money in it. She had just sent one for Addie for her birthday and we will always treasure that sweet card. She has lived in a small town in Montana called Lewistown. We knew we had to be there to honor her. Andrew was able to get two days off with no problem. He had to work the weekend so we left bright and early Sunday morning and made it to Lewistown at about 5:30 that night. It took us a little under 10 hours. We checked into our hotel and changed into our Sunday clothes and headed right over to the viewing. We stayed for a little while but our kids were restless and it was a small funeral home. We found a sit down Pizza Hut and enjoyed dinner with Andrew's sisters and their spouses. We then went back to the hotel and attempted to go to bed but it took 2 hours for the kids to calm down and stop bugging each other. The next day the funeral wasn't until 2 so we took our time getting up and having breakfast. We took our time getting ready and it was really nice to not rush. We took a drive around town and Andrew showed us some of the places he remembers from growing up visiting his Grandparents. It's really a small place so it didn't take to long to see everything.:) We then went to his favorite little drive thru for lunch and took it back and ate it at our hotel. We then headed over to the church for the viewing and funeral. The funeral was really nice. He had a couple cousins talk, Andrew's sister sung a beautiful song, and his uncle spoke. It was nice to hear all the stories and learn more about his Grandparents. I had only been around his Grandma maybe 6 or 7 times but she was such a kind and loving person. Easton was a nightmare through the whole funeral and I can't blame him he had sat in the car for 10 hours the day before! We then headed to the cemetery. Andrew was able to Dedicate her grave which he felt so honored to do. He did such a great job, I was so proud of him! We went back to the church after for a luncheon the ward put on. After everything was wrapped up we went back to his Grandma's house and just hung out for few hours and talked. It was really nice to get to know some of Andrew's relatives better and meet some. We had a nice night just mingling and people made some yummy snacks to enjoy as well! I am so glad we went, we thought about not going but I am grateful we were able to. Andrew's mom was not able to come because she had surgery the week before and so we were happy to go and represent her and honor her mother. The next morning we packed up the car early again and headed back out of town. We made it home about 30 min before dark! It was a long drive but short trip but worth every mile!

After about 6 hours in the car we have almost gone crazy! We also turned Addie around to face forward, there is no way she could have done that trip facing backwards! 

She had some good naps but would wake up so easily if the other two would start arguing!

Rum hot n tots is a coke with rum and cinnamon flavoring and it is amazing!
Wagon Wheels are hamburgers with bread instead of a bun and sealed in a sandwich maker!

Eating our yummy lunch at the hotel. We found a table to eat at luckily! The kids got Cherry 7-up, they were good! They also managed to not get dirty while eating before the funeral!

She wanted Andrew's drink so bad, it was cute how she would stand on her tippy toes!

Snow

So it snowed pretty much twice this winter which was really strange we are used to way more! It snowed on Christmas and then again on Andrew's Birthday, March 3rd. The kids loved having Dad home to play with them and lucky for us there is a little piece of city owned property right behind our house for them to play since we don't have grass yet. They were in heaven!

While Ella was at school Easton got to help shovel!

He also built them a little snow fort! Sadly the snow was gone by the next day!

Andrew's Birthday

Andrew's birthday is on March 3rd. I wanted this year to be great, I really felt bad I didn't give him a very good Christmas so I wanted to make up for it on his birthday. Well I failed miserably again! We went to dinner the Saturday before to Red Robin to use his free birthday burger. The food was really good which we were glad because our last experience made us not want to go back. We had such a great night. 

Sunday we celebrated his birthday with my family. I made him a Cherry chocolate cake and we sang to him! The cake was so good! Well it all went down hill after we got home. We put the kids down and then about an hour and a half later Easton woke up throwing up. It wasn't 20 minutes later and Addie was throwing up. Well by then I felt like I was going to die I was weak and my stomach hurt. Within the next two hours I was the next victim. Poor Andrew was up all night taking care of us. He got up and went to work and I laid in bed all day with Easton on my floor next to me and Addie with me in bed. We all slept most of the day, and Ella was in heaven with the remote in her hands all day and able to watch whatever she wanted! I think she ate junk food all day but I was grateful she was able to kind of take care of herself! Andrew called about 3 to check on us and said he felt like he was going to die. He called in sick for the next day which the next day was his birthday so he thought they would think he was just wanting the day off. Sadly we never got to finish his birthday cake, it just wasn't what I wanted after being sick! We all went to bed that night at 8 and woke up the next morning at 9. Andrew felt like a little sick still but for the most part felt like it had gone through his system without ever actually being sick. It ended up snowing that day a ton so he was able to play out in it with the kids! We went to dinner that night together and it was good but none of us had a huge appetite back yet :) Needless to say he didn't have a cake on his actual birthday and I was going to spend the day before his birthday getting him a couple gifts which ended up not happening. Luckily I had ordered a few things on Amazon for him like a month before so he did get a few things but I was bummed I wasn't able to get him what I had my eye on for a while. Luckily we only made half of my family sick from being with them that Sunday night :) I felt really bad but I had no idea we were all going to come down with it 4 hours later! All in all I ended up doing over 30 loads of Laundry that week because Ella became sick on Wednesday night! I think every one's sheets and blankets were washed at least 4 times that week!
