Lagoon

The day after the wedding we went to Lagoon. We were planning on going early in the afternoon and having Andrew meet us there after work but since the accident he took the day off and we slept in and relaxed a little first. We headed to the impound lot which was way out of our way mind you, I want to know whose idea it was to put our car out in the middle of no where, it took us almost an hour to get out to it. We went and released the car to the insurance company so we could get things going since it was Friday afternoon. Andrew looked through it and got the last couple of things out but his family had done a pretty good job of doing it on the scene. We were told we could go and pick up our rental car as well so we drove all the way out of our way again to the place and Andrew stood in line for a good 30 min only to be told they didn't have anything to give us. So then we just left hoping Saturday we would have better luck. We then finally drove up to Lagoon and at this point it was 5 PM! We were a few hours later than planned . Luckily we found some tickets from someones Stake Lagoon Day and we were able to all get in for free which is all we wanted we weren't planning on riding rides and with my leg as swollen as it was it wasn't an option to ride anything! It turned out to be a beautiful night and the weather was perfect!

My mom made us a yummy picnic of Fried Chicken and Rolls and leftover treats from the wedding, which I was happy to finally taste (the accident took my appetite with it!)

The kids had fun playing with my cousin Joseph, he had fun pushing them in the wagon around our picnic area.

More cousin time with our Texas Cousins!

The kids pushed around Jocey's stroller for a long time and fought over it a few times but it brought them a lot of entertainment!

This nice couple walked by with a cooler full of frozen treats, I guess they had planned a huge ward party and only had a few people show up so they were nice enough to share with us! The kids had their first push pops and were in love!

We felt bad that Ella and East had to watch the cousins ride the rides so we bought a few tickets for them to ride a couple and it turned out perfect they each got a couple rides in!

Lucky for these pink loving girls they were first in line so they got first pick of the pink boat!

Ella wasn't a huge fan of this ride, he face says it all!

Easton loved the whale ride and screamed when we took him away after!

My cousin Ali and Joseph and little sister Sarah, these kids are all about 7 weeks apart. They decided to do the sky coaster. They had a lot of fun! You could never get me to fly through the air like that!

It was a fun night after a horrible previous night, I probably shouldn't have been on my leg so much but we only see my brother and his family once maybe twice a year so I wasn't going to miss their last days in Utah!

Katy and Kyle's Wedding

June 21st my little sister Katy and Kyle got married. They got married in the Salt Lake Temple. They had such a beautiful sealing and the weather that day was absolutely perfect! She also looked so pretty!
We took a few pictures while we waited for them to come out!
These two were so cute and held hands all the way around the temple!

Attempting a boy cousin picture. Tyler is just awesome and always smiles, Jack was ready for his nap, and Easton just wants to know when he can go and run!

All of my parents Grandkids!

My cousin Ali and little sister Sarah

My aunt Lara and Uncle Todd, it was their 21st anniversary!

I really like this of Katy!

The kids tried to climb the temple!

Meltdown point!

Brothers never stop teasing now matter how old you get!

After the pictures at the temple Andrew ran the kids back to his mom's while I went with the others to City Creek to browse. After that we had the luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Andrew finally made it back about 10 minutes after we started eating. He had to run in his suit because the parking area was full, so that is why his tie is undone, it was a little warm that morning!

The bride and groom and parents table

When Kyle left on his mission Katy only knew a few lines to this song on the piano and told him she was going to learn the rest while he was gone and she did and was able to perform it for him at the luncheon!

Sadly I don't have any reception pictures! See the next post it explains it all! I will have to post some from her photographer when she gets them back because it was such a beautiful reception!

Car Accident

So the reason I have no pictures from the reception is we didn't get there until 15 min after it started. We were on our way there and got into a major accident. We were only about 3 miles away. We were headed east on 6200 south and the traffic going west was backed up (rush hour). A car on the other side rear ended a car and that car made a complete left turn into our lane. We were the only ones around going east and so we T-boned him. It was awful! I remember saying a few choice things as he was coming at us and then I don't remember anything until Andrew was standing next to me outside my door. I blacked out for few seconds. The kids were both crying and upset but I couldn't keep focused long enough to hold them, my vision kept getting blurry. Finally I felt good enough to stand up and by then Andrew's family was there since we had just left his mom's house. The paramedic checked each of us out. Luckily we had some awesome witnesses who got out and held the kids while we waited for help. I remember the paramedic asking me how old I was and I replied with 25 and then told him wait I think I'm 26. He told me I had to be sure or they wouldn't let me leave on my own. The whole time I kept spluttering to anyone who would listen how bad of timing it was and I was missing family pictures at my sisters wedding and how bad our week had already been. I don't know how many people I told but anyone who came up to got the speech :)! I immedietely had a huge goose egg on my leg. We didn't notice anything on the kids until later and Ella was the only one with a little burn from her seat belt on her neck! The officer was nice enough to let us get going to the reception and came over to the reception later to give us the paperwork. I don't remember much from the reception but I am still so sad I wasn't able to enjoy it. I sat on a chair under a tree with my leg iced the whole time. We were able to get in a few family pictures while putting the line on hold for a few minutes. My mom didn't get the pictures she wanted especially of all the grandkids together in their clothes. She has spent so much time sewing and shopping! It really still upsets me to think one of the main reasons we decided to live here this summer was because of the wedding and so to miss so much of it is a huge bummer! At least we made it to the sealing that was most important! After the reception we went to the ER just so we could have on record that we got checked out, that and I could hardly walk! Andrew's sister Deb was so awesome and met us there with snacks and drinks for the kids and their pajamas. By the time we left the ER it was almost midnight and we were all so exhausted! We are all ok and that is all that matters!

My leg got the worst of everyone. It was really swollen for almost a week and just now it is finally starting to feel better, two weeks later! It is still bruised a little and has moved and my whole foot is black and blue now! My other leg got a little cut on it and a few little bruises. I also got bruises on my forehead, arms, and my funny bone! Ella just had that rash, Andrew was sore for a few days, and Easton came out without any scratches or bruises! We feel so blessed especially when we look at our car and how much worse it could have been! We were definitely being watched over that day!
The big spot in the middle of it that isn't bruised is still a little numb and I still can't kneel very well!
Andrew took the day after off since he was still so sore and so we could get things going with the insurance company.
Here is our car at the impound lot when we went to release it the next day.
The scene of the accident. We have a video that shows the other cars. I really hate looking at them, it makes me sick! We really miss our car!
This was my foot yesterday!
They gave us a rental car for just over a week and finally today we were able to buy a new car after looking FOREVER!!! We had three of the same car be sold out from under us while we waited on financing and our money from our insurance company. Every night we spent at car lots and would go back the next day and they would be gone! Apparently everyone in Utah wants an Odyssey!  But today we were able to pick up our new (2008, so new to us!) Honda Odyssey. We weren't looking to upgrade until after Andrew was done with school but it will be nice to have so much room. We are really happy with it!

Splash Park

A couple weeks ago we took a trip to the Splash park. I got an email that a bunch of people from our old ward here were going to meet up there. I called my good friend Ann and we went together. I hadn't seen her in almost two years except for one night a few weeks before I went knocking on her door to surprise her. She has a little girl that is two months younger than Ella. We had missed going to our splash park in Memphis. We were usually the only ones there. This is a new thing to Utah and there are only a couple and so it was crazy busy! The fountains were a little bit more advanced here than in Memphis but they still had fun. Luckily it had cooled down a little that day so it wasn't so hot!

Ella followed around Ann's six year old most of the time, she loved her!
It was such a fun day and we can't wait to go back again!

Cousins

The closest cousin on both sides to Ella is Jocey. They are a year apart. They have slowly gotten to love each other. Since we see them once maybe twice a year it has always been hard to get them playing after we all get together. They are usually shy for a while and then they play like they never had a time between seeing them last. This time they started right where they left off. They had so much fun together. It makes me sad we don't live closer to them or to our Bibo cousins either because they all have so much fun!
This was less than 5 minutes after we got there they were laughing together and it was so sweet!

My mom's grandsons. Easton is a giant!
I still don't think Easton was to sure about Tyler even after spending a week together. He just wanted to be his boss and do to him what Ella has done to him for the last year! Poor Tyler put up with a lot from Easton.

Father's Day

Father's Day this year was so enjoyable. We went to church and listened to my sister speak. Then we spent some time with Andrew's family and with my family. My brother and his family were in town from Texas for the wedding later on in the week. We got a picture of all the great-grand kids that were there. We used to be predominently girls but the boys are catching up and it is pretty even.
We have Jack, Dahlia, Hannah,Caleb, Jocelyn, Tyler, Ella, and Easton, along with three Angel Babies and one more on the way in a few weeks.
They were done by the time we got everyone gathered for the picture!

Enjoying our yummy dinner of French Dip!
I wish these three girls all lived closer together they play so well together and are really funny!

We were missing one in this picture but I love it because every child is looking at the camera which is amazing for 7 kids 4 and under!
 The Girls!

We loved Father's Day and I am thankful for the wonderful Father's in my life. Andrew is such a great dad and loves his kids so much. He comes home from a long day at work and plays with them and takes care of them. They love him as well and prefer him 90% of the time if he is home!
