Tin Foil Dinners/Memorial Day

The Saturday before Memorial Day we headed to a park in Hernando with a few friends and made tin foil dinners. It was warm but not to hot! We enjoyed eating, talking, playing on the playground, and the guys enjoyed a little Bocce ball.

This is what Ella thinks of the swings!

This is the one thing she actually liked! Maybe it was because her dad was playing with her at this point and anything he does is fun according to her!

She does like to go down slides!

I love this little squat she does, I saw her doing it again a few times since! Her bath water was so dirty that night!

So after we got done eating the guys went to play to play bocce and the kids were running around us talking. They decided to push Easton around in his stroller. It took me a few minutes to realize they all were suddenly gone. They had gone by the dads and then down a hill. They eventually came back and Easton was out. He had been on the craziest ride of his life I am sure but had managed to fall asleep in the middle of it.

This is how far away they were!

Piano Man

We found this piano a while back at Goodwill for a buck! Easton and Ella both love it. Ella really likes it the most if Easton has it. :)

I love his cheesy grin!

Sitting Up!!

Easton has been mastering sitting up the last couple of weeks. He is pretty much stable most of the time now but he still falls over every now and again!

Raspberry Jam

A week ago Friday we made some yummy raspberry jam! We were almost out from what we made right before Ella was born! Ella and Easton were really good while I worked in the kitchen. They kept to themselves and played!

I bought a case of raspberries at Costco. I washed them up and didn't have to throw away a single berry, they were perfect! They had sat in my fridge for over a week so I was glad none of them had gone bad. About 20 dollars worth of berries later I had about 2 batches of jam which made about 8 1/2 jars! Ella loves this on her peanut butter sandwichs, she sometimes just licks the jam off!

Princesses

Last year when we went to Disneyland my mom got Ella these Princesses. She is really liking them right now. She has learned how to open the zipper on the bag they are in and get them out. She was playing so cute with them one night while I was making dinner. She sets them up then knocks them over and repeats it and laughs each time. I love watching her imagination just blossom!

Sunday Drives

When we first moved here we would often take drives on Sunday afternoon to pass time. We hadn't really done it for over a year and a few weeks ago I decided we needed to again. I have a hard time with Sundays and not getting homesick. It doesn't help we get done with church so early in the day. It is nice to get out of the house and enjoy the surroundings here in Mississippi.

Ella enjoys her sunglasses!

The second Sunday we drove out to Tunica and drove around all the Casinos to see if there was still water. The Riverpark is still closed, we could see that the road still was under water. There was also a lot of standing water in places that usually doesn't have water and a lot of water just everywhere!

These are from our first drive two weeks ago. We went and found a hill and watched the sunset. The clouds were really cool and the sunset was really pretty!

It really is so green here. There are these cool vines that are everywhere here. They are so pretty.

Nursery!!!

Last Sunday the 22nd of May was Ella's first official day in Nursery! Andrew wasn't quite sure what he was going to do during Sunday School and Priesthood without her. I quickly solved that problem and let him take Easton. It was my last week in Primary and I had to do Sharing Time. She cried when I first dropped her off because she had been upset right before we went in. She is not used to it yet and was held the whole time this last week. She will just get used to it and then we will be in Utah for a few weeks oh well!

She just happened to have a new dress in her closet for the day! (She really did, I didn't go buy anything!)

Popsicles

My mom sent me some cute bunny popsicle molds for Ella's Easter basket. Last week we finally got around to filling them up and then the next day we were able to enjoy them while we played outside! Ella loved it! I like them because the ears on the bunnies are great handles for her to hold onto.

Sporting her Popsicle look!

She wouldn't let go of it!

She is like her dad she can't lick it she goes right in for a bite!

I see us enjoying a lot more of these this summer, especially since it is already so hot and humid!
