Playing in the mud

I'm trying my hardest to not be so OCD when it comes to my kids. I swear my kids made me this way I didn't used to this way! I am getting better with time! It has rained a lot this summer. One night after dinner and our family night lesson we let them splash in all the puddles! They were in heaven! I let Addie get into the mud, since our trenches for our sprinklers were slowly filling back in with each storm! She loved it and got it everywhere! I luckily got it all out of her clothes!

We finally had to stop when she rubbed mud in her eye and her dad freaked out! I often wonder if he wasn't an eye doctor if he would care as much :)

Popsicles

There is nothing better than Popsicles in the summer and my Grandma seems to have an endless supply. Somehow my kids know this and she gives them whatever they want so they always have one when we are there even if she already has made dessert! Lucky for me she has a stash of old bibs so Addie can have one! I love all the facial expressions from Addie!

Hokalia

We have only gotten shaved ice once this summer! We were at Down East one night and Hokalia is right outside of it so we decided to get some because there was no line. My neighbor told me the day before they waited over an hour to get one so when we saw no line we decided it was now or never! 

The kids got the rainbow!

I got the Allota Colada with coconut ice cream in the middle! It was really good but I was done with coconut flavor by the end of it!

Grandpa's birthday

June 1st is my Dad's birthday. We had a fun night with him! All of us siblings went in on a new recliner for him for his birthday/father's day gift! His old chair was ready to retire!

We had spaghetti and Addie absolutely loved it!

Addie has a thing for my brother in law Kyle. She adores him and prefers him a lot of the time if he is around!

My mom treated us all to coldstone for his birthday! It was yummy! 

Story time

The first part of June we went to Story time at the Library. It was crazy there were a lot of kids there so it is the last time we have gone this summer! The normal story time girl was gone and so someone else did it for her and she did a much better job, she was more interactive with the kids. I wish she did it each time! She put the kids on all the chairs and told them to pretend it was a big boat! They sang songs and had a blast!

Addie was not my favorite during story time she just wanted to empty the shelves of the books!

Random

These are from my phone over the two months or so! 

Our yard is such a work in progress. This was the end of May. Andrew literally spent every second it was light outside and he wasn't at work pulling weeds! He finally got it done a few days after this because they came that weekend and dug our trenches for sprinklers. We are now counting the days until our sod comes, only 8 more!!!

Easton has helped Andrew a lot!

She was trying to sit in a little chair by me on the porch one afternoon and it crashed and she hit the brick post on the porch!

My youngest sister Sarah graduated from Seminary! We are so proud of her! You now have to pass a test to graduate, we were saying I don't know if we would have passed that test!

We sat on the porch one afternoon and watched this storm come in. It was raining buckets 5 minutes later!

Popsicles have been a staple this summer!

I was a few houses away one night talking to two friends and all the kids had gone in one of the other's backyard. All the sudden Ella comes out with Addie and she is screaming and Ella is frantic. Addie had fallen and was bleeding out of her mouth. Turns out she bit through the part inside your upper lip and gums above her front teeth and it was gushing blood! Luckily my neighbor who I was talking to was out and her husband is a oral surgeon and he was able to look at it and said it should be fine and I just saved myself $500 from having to have it cut later in life! She had blood all over her shirt!

Date Night! We had a party to go to for a lady Andrew has worked for at Costco, she is leaving/retiring. It was a pool party and was rather awkward so we left and went and got some dinner! After we went to Station Park (an outdoor mall) and did some shopping. Andrew was so nice and let me pick out some clothes and he even got himself some. I hardly ever buy myself clothes and he told me I couldn't buy anything else for the kids until I got myself some stuff! We finished off the night at the Cobbler Cove there at the mall! It was amazing! We shared a raspberry peach cobbler! We can't wait to go back it was so good!

Sunday's are so hard on babies! She naps like a champ after church usually!

I tried skipping her morning nap to see if she was ready for just one and this is what happened during lunch! She was exhausted!

I made some tostadas for dinner one night and gave Addie some refried beans. She loves them! We have had them a few more times since, she gets so messy though!
