We arrived in Nauvoo on Sunday the 12th of July at about 3 in the afternoon. It had been a long couple of days in the car and we were happy to see my parents waiting for us! My sister and he husband had traveled in their car with us and my Grandma rode with us out. My little sister and her husband pulled in about an hour after us and my brother and his family about 2 hours after us. Where we stayed had kitchens and so my sweet mom had a hot dinner waiting for all 20 or so of us. We finished dinner and then went and walked around the Nauvoo temple and watched part of the Sunset over the Mississippi. It was beautiful and so peaceful.
These sweet cousins all pick up from where they left off even though we go months without seeing them!
The next morning we got up bright and early to go on the ox ride. My sister in law Celyn's parents were missionaries in Nauvoo and her dad was in charge of the Ox for a few hours that morning so we went so we could get a ride while he told us about them!
After the Ox we visited the bakery and got a cookie!
The kids did pretty good since it was so hot!
We went and saw the Just plain Anna Amanda show that afternoon that is just for the kids and Easton was invited to come up and finish a song with her, it was so cute!
That night we watched the dress rehearsal of the British Pageant. We saw the Nauvoo pageant last time but this one is new and it was amazing! My parents and little sister Sarah were in the pageant that week so it was fun to see what they had learned the week before and fun to watch them perform!
I love this girl's eyes!
My little sister Sarah is in the Green dress. One of the Young performing missionaries did something to her foot and so they asked Sarah to step in and do some of her parts, she picked them right up and did such an amazing job!
