Midway day 3 and 4

Saturday Andrew had more classes and then his boss had gotten all of us tickets for the box lunches. They weren't the greatest but it was nice to get out of our room and have some lunch! Andrew took the older two swimming that afternoon while Addie napped!

The exhibit hall had all sorts of good stuff! Andrew found eye ball cake pops and got one for each kid! Addie as you can see loved it so much she tried to get the whole thing in her mouth!

We enjoyed some more chess and some shuffle board! I tried to stay in the shade it was warm that day!

That night they had their big family carnival! It is only the second year they have done it! They hire someone who comes in and sets it all up and the resort caters the dinner! It was sprinkling when it first started but we were able to eat and enjoy some of the activities!
The kids enjoyed the carousel a few more times!

This somehow got out of order but after Addie was done with her cake pop she just spent her time trying to get a hold of Ella's!
Addie with her pillow to sit on and a spray bottle! I swear its a rite of passage as a kid to drink out of one of those!

They had a ballon artist and a face painter! Ella got a butterfly and Easton got batman!

We were all sitting on those tables not three minutes before this! There was dime sized hail coming down and lighting literally hit right there it was a flash and immediate boom! It was crazy!

We finished the night off with the photo booth! The crazy lightening and hail was going on just outside of it!
The next morning we got up and Andrew went to one more class and we packed up and headed home!

Midway day 1 and 2

Every year the first part of June the Utah Optometric Association has their annual meetings up in Midway which is about an hour from where we live in a little mountain town just a little ways from Park City. There is a lot of CE classes for Andrew and meetings and what not. His boss always offers to pay for him to attend so we have decided to make it a yearly tradition. He has gone the last 3 or 4 years but last year we all went up and stayed and that is when we decided it would be a fun thing to do each year! They have little Villa's to rent with kitchens. They have really made it family oriented the last few years which helps!
We got up there checked in and then went to dinner! They have an on site place we tried last year and we loved it so we went back and then remembered it was half price pizza night so we got some pizza! We also shared some buffalo wings and some chips and salsa! Addie loved the pizza!

The next morning Andrew got up early and went to classes all morning. I got up and made pancakes for the kids! They were in heaven! They loved being in a hotel and eating pancakes all in the same moment!

After Andrew came back he had a little break so we took the kids swimming! It had rained earlier but had stopped and it turned out to be nice!

That afternoon I drove down with the kids to Park City and had dinner with my family at Ruby Tuesday. My little sister Sarah graduated that afternoon from High school and they were nice to come meet us up there for dinner so we could be with everyone for a little bit! After dinner we went to the outlets for a little bit and did some shopping! Emily was nice and let the kids ride the little merry go round there!

We went back and Andrew was still in a dinner meeting so we walked around the grounds and saw the goats and then rode the carousel a couple times!

I was mean and forced her to ride it! She ended up liking it!
They have a giant chess set the kids had fun with for a good hour!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day was a busy one this year! We started off the day having all of Andrew's family to our house for breakfast! We had pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, donuts, juice, and fruit! It was all so delicious! We then had some rests and then went to my Grandma's house for a BBQ. It was such a relaxing day and it was nice to have Andrew home all day with us. Last year he worked every single holiday during the summer and it was awful! Thankfully he doesn't work there anymore!
My cute girls! Ella absolutely adores Addie and Addie tolerates her because Ella constantly wants to be touching her!

Easton refused a normal picture!
Us with our niece Andrea. She left the next day to serve a mission in the Philippines! I literally rolled out of bed and made breakfast for everybody!
Addie has an obsession with pillows. She loves to find one anywhere she is to sit on it!

All these people played a couple crazy games of spud that night in my Grandma's back yard!

This is when Addie learned to go up stairs, or at least braved them!

Visiting the cemetery

The day before Memorial has become our new day to visit the cemetery. We used to go Monday but it is slightly less crowded the day before. My Dad's parents and my Mom's dad are all buried in the same place so it makes it nice to only have to go to one place. Our kids think it a giant playground to run but we try our best to teach them to be respectful.

My Grandpa Duzett is buried close to this big pine tree and someone has a bench below it, it turns into the favorite place to go!
